I didn’t think the soundbar was as amazing as I expected for the price

Sound is good, but this is my second one (returned the first one) and the same problem exists, HDMI connection in the back is loose and any movement it becomes disconnected. Poor design.

I really wanted to Love the Beam but..... After having used a Sonos 3 for several years I really loved this speaker, the sound, portability and ease of use. I wanted to upgrade the sound of my Samsung 65" Smart TV and was drawn to the Sonos Beam as it was promoted specifically for the use of TV's. Since I was familiar and happy with the sound and ease of setup with my Sonos 3 I thought this was a no brainer. I ensured my TV had an HDMI-ARC port to ensure this would work. Hookup was simple and and straight forward but ran in to difficulties connecting to my WiFi. I had the App installed and my previous speaker set up with my WiFi Network. When attempting to connect the Beam to my network the setup timed out. When trying to repeat the setup process it told me that the speaker was already set up. I had to remove the speaker from my app and repeat the whole process. I eventually got is connected to the WiFi and was able to complete the calibration and setup process. The Sound was so bad! On this TV our normal listening volume was 20 when watching regular Network provided source. Once the Beam was connected we had to turn the volume up to +/- 85 to be able to hear anything and the sound was as if out of a tin can. When switching to a streaming service through Smart App such as Netflix or Amazon Prime, we would get blasted out of the room and had to lower the sound to ~14. This is how the speaker should ideally sound across all sources, rich and full sound. No matter what adjustments I made to TV volume settings, it was impossible to get it to function properly with our regular and most used TV source, the Network Box. Doing some online research, I found that this was a common problem. I called Sonos Tech support who were friendly but oblivious to the issue. After checking my settings and extensive hold time I was told that the sound could not be better from cable box and I should use streaming services instead! I returned the speaker for a refund.

The sound quality could be better but being wireless well worth it
