This was a great upgrade to our old receiver, combined with a number of sonos 3 speakers throughout the house. The amp is wired to a set of outdoor speakers. While all the other sonos speakers "stay connected", the outside speakers sometimes disappear, so I have to reboot the sonos amp. Sometimes this causes the router, which the amp is connected to, to also reboot. Hence, just 4 stars.

This was one of the easiest electronics setups I've ever had. The house I moved into already had in wall speakers wired. I plugged the Sonos into my router, connected the speakers, connected the power, and it took off. The iOS app was easy to configure. It only took me a few minutes to add my Amazon Prime and Pandora accounts, as well as all the music on my NAS. I'll most likely grab another one to run some outdoor speakers.

The Sonos Amp is a cool technology. Allows you to connect speakers directly to the Sonos Amp and then via the Sonos application you can stream music to it directly through your home Wi-Fi. Works very well for its purpose. The limitations I found so far is that you need to purchase two amps to setup other speakers into other zones. If you want it to be all one zone, then 1 amp will work for you. The other limitation is within the application. Your device needs to have access to your songs to be able to play over your home network. So, if you limit your songs on devices due to storage size constraints, your streaming will be limited to that device. Of course, if you leave your primary PC/Laptop connected to your network you will not have to worry about this at all. Still haven't found out how to play entire playist/album as the application wants you to add 1 song at a time.

I use this to power two ceiling kitchen speakers. I previously was using an old amp with an Airport express for airplay. The airplay was a little unreliable so my wife never would use it. Now she loves to play music. The always on feature is also huge. This is very expensive given that our first Sonos speaker was only $199. However, it works great so I think it is worth it.

I had this installed by Geek Squad along with some outdoor speakers for our patio. I have been pleased with it. The only issue we have occasionally is depending on where your wireless router is, sometimes the connection / available speed of your internet, causes it to stop working. Had to install a second router downstairs to get better connection outside from my wireless device.

I love sonos, I was going back and forth between this and Bose...and boy am I so happy I choose Sonos. Easy to set up within minutes and then the apps just work GREAT. I will be adding more.

I am extremely happy with this purchase. Very easy to set-up and use. Audio quality is excellent. It works flawlessly with the app. Works great with Apple Music. My only complaint when using it with Apple Music Radio is that you can't use the "Play More Like This" or "Play Less Like This" functions to help curate a radio station. Otherwise an overall outstanding product. I plan to buy a few more to set up whole-house audio.

Converts existing ceiling speakers (or other wired speakers) to sonos compatible speakers, allowing total control thru the sonos app. Works as described. Couldn't be happier!

Great piece of equipment with great sound that helps turn that 1996-purchased stereo receiver and wired speakers into useful components for modern audio. I love all things Sonos.

This device is absolutely amazing ... I have Sonos products all over my house. I just turned my garage into a man cave, including fridge, TV, heater, new floor and doors, indirect lighting, etc. It's now complete with this Sonos device and new speakers ... music to my ears and surrounding neighbors! Thank you Sonos for taking my love of music to new heights!

We needed to be able to play music on our deck outdoors while watching TV or other music in our home. The Sonos Amp provides the perfect solution and allows us to play our favorite smartphone music or music from streaming services like Spotify, Pandora, Serius XM, Apple, et al via a wi-fi connection to the Sonos AMP unit using the Sonos App on our smarphone. What a sweet solution!
