Great product but registering it with an Alexa account is tricky if your family has multiple Alexa accounts.

Seems to work fine on some types of shows, but not on the news although sense this is not the speaker's fault.

Tried two different speakers. Did not work with our system. Geek Squad set it up x 2. Both had issues with getting and staying connected to our Wi-Fi. One did connect and had a good sound but a few days later was not working. Returned to Best Buy for a refund.

Excellent product for the first couple years, however, I just moved addresses and trying to reconnect it to my new Wi-Fi. After doing all the troubleshooting and actually taking it back to Best Buy to fix, I have to say I am underwhelmed with pairing capability. Besides this, it’s an excellent Soundsystem.

The Sonos Era 100 is cleanly packaged and a seemingly rugged unit. Setup and going through the different features seemed pretty intuitive. I appreciate that, seeing as how I'm new to the Sonos platform. The first thing to do was to load the Sonos app. This would then provide tips/tutorials for how to set things up. Easy-peazy. During the setup, I used the Trueplay function so that the Era 100 would both project and listen to sound in order to create a more positive listening experience based upon the setting you’ve place it in. I can only imagine that, for example, the sound reproduction would have different needs in a room with hardwood floors, as opposed to a room with carpet…or a lot of upholstered furniture. Anyway, it was cool to sit back and let it do its thing. I then had fun adding services which I already have subscriptions to — Apple Music, Amazon Music, and SiriusXM. This was very easy to do (again, using the Sonos app), as well as enabling Alexa voice functions and commands. I’m loving this speaker! There is an exhaustive list of services that can be added. All the popular ones, as well as sites I have never heard of. The connectivity of this speaker to different sources pretty much covers the gamut — WiFi, bluetooth, direct line, and Apple AirPlay. I’m not sure that I’ll be using anything but WiFi (I have an android phone), and that’s fine with me. But the others are there if I ever need them. Anyway, I'm loving the sound production of the Era 100 -- especially at low volume. It's impressive that a unit this small can continue to provide a punch at a low level. I would encourage anyone to visit the Sonos website and see the virtual, 3D, explosive view of the construction of this beautiful unit. It’s no wonder the sound is so amazing. I’m glad that I started my Sonos journey with this new generation of speakers! Makes me wish I had two of these to fill our rather large living room more fully… maybe for Christmas? However, I need to say that having just the one Era 100 provides impressive sound to be enjoyed in a very large (20’ x 24’) room. You will not be disappointed.

I have a Sonos system in the home. I wanted to add another ERA100. This one was a tough cookie as I could not add it to my current system no matter what I tried. Will return and try another as I am very happy with the system itself.

Works great with Beam 2 and LG TV, but cannot get the system to play my digital CD collection either from my Android phone or computer. Have spent way to much time trying to get this to work.

Thank you for sharing your experience, and I'm glad to hear that the Era 100 is working well with your Beam 2 and LG TV. I'm sorry, though, to hear about the challenges you're facing with playing your digital CD collection.

For Android, a good option is using a music server application like Plex, which Sonos supports natively. Please reach out if we can walk you through these setup options; we want to make sure you can fully enjoy all your music on the system! Feel free to reach us at support.sonos.com john.milton

We purchased this smart speaker to supplement our Sonos sound bar, purchased earlier from Best Buy. The sound bar is terrific, however the Sonos-Era 100 did not perform as anticipated. The sound was 'crackly' and shallow.

Very unfriendly device. Sets up like you have to have subscriptions to use then has a huge hassle requiring you to use their website to set up the device on Bluetooth or on your router. I have a $19 speaker that sets up almost automatically. Definitely don’t recommend this speaker.

They were okay just with lots of static, I don’t believe it’s the brand the ones I have may have just been bad, but overall we love Sonos

The speaker itsefl worked, but the problem was I purchased 2 to use as surrounds and they kept stuttering, ensuring that they would not be useful for that purpose, so returned. Any advice to stop stuttering would be appreciated.
