So I’ve heard this speaker on its own several times and it is fantastic! And I imagine pairing it with another speaker for stereo sound to play music would be amazing as well. With all that being said, I did not like at all how this paired with the rest of my Sonos system to create a surround sound. The major problem I had was the fact that it turned my Sonos beam into practically a voice only speaker. With about 70% of the audio coming through the era 100s. I tried tinkering with it in the app and it still did not help increase the volume of the beam gen 2. And so for that matter I returned these. The gist of this review would be, great for music and not so great for home cinema. I will preface this by saying that I do live in a small apartment, but even with the true sound feature it could never get it right to my liking

This speaker is great. It produces really great sound at a good level and connect seamlessly to my Wi-Fi. It is very nice to be able to play anything with high-quality as opposed to my Alexa speakers.

I was actually surprise by how good the Sonos speaker was . The sound is all around good . The vocals in music and movies are super crisp regardless of treble or bass . The medium tones are smooth and not broken up regardless of how loud the speaker is out and was very good on the bass . The bass is very good and also doesn’t distort the clarity of medium or high notes and still keeps it tump. Does very well even if it is put in the center of a room or if you would like it to project sound in only 1 direction it has a setting in its app for that . It’s definitely great for a budget or replacement for a in home theater sound system

My first Sonos speaker and it is light years beyond the home speaker I replaced it with. While a bit more expensive than some other brands, the sound and build quality is reflected in that price. Best Buy also had a great sale.

I love the sound. I use it in my coffee shop. It's immersive, perfect for a room with people chatting and enjoying good music. The Wi-Fi works perfectly with my iPad, iPhone, and Alexa.

This is an excellent speaker. I bought the Era 300 last month and the sound quality was outstanding. I saw the Era 100 was on sale so I bought one. It’s half the size of the 300 but it sounds fantastic. Sorry Bose but Sonos is my new favorite.

I have a total of four of these speakers in three different rooms. They sound great and the app is easy to use. I also like that each room can have different music on, or you can tie them all together to play the same music. Great system.

Great sound. Easy to install. Looks nice and almost disappears from view in the room. Perfect.

Has a nice full sound that I like better than the Era 300. Playing them both together is the best! They fill in each other's weak spots. Very easy to set up, but the phone app loses connection every once in a while. It seems better on iOS than Android, but on iOS you can't use the volume buttons on the phone to adjust the speaker like on Android. Overall, I would recommend this Era 100 over the 300 for the difference in cost, plus I enjoy the sound a little more. And you can almost afford two of them for the price of the 300!

I’ve been using the Sonos One SL as my surround sound (rear speakers) for two years, and honestly, they never felt like they were on! I’d constantly have to put my ear right up to them just to figure out what sound was coming out. I’d mess with the app, trying to adjust the volume, but it never really sounded right. Then one day, while randomly scrolling through Best Buy, I came across reviews for the Era 100s. One review stood out—it mentioned the same issue I had with the One SL, that they barely sounded like they were on. That was all I needed to hear. On a rainy night, I headed to Best Buy, excited to see how big of an upgrade the Era 100s really were. Let me tell you—they’re AMAZING! Once I set them up, I immediately used the Trueplay feature in the app to tune them, and now I’m finally hearing all the sounds I was missing. The rear audio is so immersive, it feels like I’m in the middle of the action. I paired them with my new Arc Ultra, and it’s pure movie heaven! If you’re coming from the One SL like I was, I 100% recommend upgrading to the Era 100s. You won’t regret it! Let me know if this review helped you! Ease of setup and easy to use with my existing homepods via AirPlay

Bought these for my husband for his man cave and because of the quality of these, we opted to buy more to place throughout our home. People visiting think we have a sound system installed. Great purchase!!

Sounds incredible - which is par for the course with Sonos. I love that because it atteams over wifi, im able to stream Hi Res Audio from Tidal or Quobuz which is amazing to hear your music with a level of clarity tha bluetooth would never allow for.

Perfect for my needs. I replaced a Sonos One with this Era 100. I have this in the great room to pair with two Fives for music listening everyday. The sound is clear with bass and vocals sounding balanced, and the overall sound in the room is much improved. Super easy to add to my existing Sonos system. Highly recommend!

We have the Sonos sound bar, subwoofer and 2 model One in our theater. We have 4 other One speakers in other areas of our home and love the sound and flexibility of the system. This new one will be in the garage for outdoor sound.

We purchased five of these to use in five different rooms (replacing older speakers) and are very pleased with the quality of the audio. The feature for calibrating sound gives these speakers really seems to give this system an advantage over our existing system. We all agreed the quality of the audio throughout the house was improved by adding these into the system. They were also very easy to add to the existing Sonos setup. The step-by-step process worked quickly and easily for all five (only slowed by each one needing a software update before being added).

Sonos already had a good thing going with the One speaker, but this levels the experience up significantly. The larger woofer provides deeper, richer bass, and the stereo tweeters give a much wider soundstage and allow you to better distinguish different layers of the music, rather than downmixing to mono like the One and making everything sound like it's coming from a single point in space. You'll be shocked at the quality of sound that comes from this speaker. If you're in the market for something like this, just get one of these. I probably wouldn't consider a One over this, even at its cheaper price, unless you're on a very tight budget. This model is really worth the extra ~$50.
