Purchased the era 100 after hearing great reviews about it and enjoyed it as a bathroom speaker for about 2 days before the issues started. The random dropping of songs streaming from either Apple Music or Tidal was my breaking point with the product and brand. I did reset after reset, deleted the app redownloaded the app, disconnected and connected wifi to no avail. Finally returned to avoind more headaches.

Really complicated to set up, really anti intuitive, and I havent yet been able to set up alexa. I actually tried to return this item, but didnt realize best buy has such short return periods, really disapointing. Im trying to sell this speaker as it really is anoying in every sense to operate and setup It might sound nice, but the app sucks and it is not easy to operate

Sound kept cutting off. I tried connecting the arc directly to the router, and using a Wi-Fi booster and didn’t help.

    Worst Set Up Experience Ever!

I just spent 5 hours today trying to get two Era 100 speakers to work in our family room (the speakers were a Christmas gift). In the end, it was just 5 hours of wasted time and total frustration. Years ago, we purchased a Sonos surround sound system for our basement TV. Set up was seamless and effortless, and the sound was fantastic! It was based on that experience that I asked for new Sonos speakers. Not sure what's happened to this company, but I'm sure it's not good. I will be boxing up my new Era 100 speakers and returning them to Best Buy. In the end, they turned out to be a totally awful Christmas gift!

Absolutely terrible. They worked great for about 2 months. Now the volume will automatically turn down for about 15 to 20 seconds at a time every minute anytime I have more than one speaker playing it prevents the purpose of me upgrading my speakers to have music playing in my whole house at once.

Era 100 was purchased as an auxiliary speaker to the Sonos Beam in an adjacent room. This Era 100 purchase was one of the worst tech purchases I have ever made: The speaker connects intermittently, lacks depth, monotonic and dialog is all but unintelligible. Sonos' recent roll out of a half-baked, buggy app makes this purchase even more regretable. I wish I would have returned it during the return period

Was told by tech support the speakers would pair with the Sonos play sound bar and would be able to use as surround sound speakers. The speakers break up sound and crackle constantly.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We're deeply sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing with pairing your Era 100 speakers to your Sonos Play soundbar and the resulting audio issues like crackling. That is certainly not the performance we aim to deliver, and we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

To help resolve this issue, I recommend the following troubleshooting steps:

Ensure Wi-Fi Connection Stability: Audio interruptions are often related to Wi-Fi interference. Restart your router and ensure all Sonos devices are connected to a strong and stable network. If your speakers are positioned far from the router, try moving them closer.

Check Firmware Updates: Make sure both the Sonos app and all devices are running the latest software updates. Updates often include fixes for connectivity issues.

Re-establish Surround Setup: Try removing and re-adding the Era 100s as surround speakers. In the Sonos app, go to Settings > System > Room Settings > [Room with your soundbar] > Surrounds > Remove Surrounds. Then follow the steps to re-add them.

Adjust Surround Settings: You can also try adjusting the surround sound settings under the same menu. Lowering the surround volume or switching to “Full” audio instead of “Ambient” might improve the sound quality.

If these steps don't fully resolve the issue, please reach out to us again at support.sonos.com. We're committed to ensuring your system works seamlessly and regret any frustration you've encountered. Thank you for your patience as we work toward a solution. john.milton

Connected to TV and sonos sound bar. They cut in and out a lot and every time you turn the TV on or switch between apps on the TV you have to adjust the volume on your phone. Kind of regretting buying these considering the price.

Pleased with the purchase but the fiasco of getting it installed leaves a bad taste so much that future purchases will be questionable. Very poor scheduling on the part of Best Buy employees. This rating is on the service and not the product….

Sonos: (1) Doesn't distinguish between room and device names, which causes integration problems with Google and other voice controls; (2) Doesn't allow speaker groupings between a stereo pair and a sound bar, so you can't easily tell the system which speakers you want to use; (3) Refuses to play TV audio only through stereo pair; insists on some sound through sound bar; (4) fails to inform you that its bluetooth equipped speakers like these don't in fact support phone calls.

I bought two of these, a Ray, and a Sub mini. The sound quality was so meh for the price. These are nearly $300 but I didn't discern a better quality than my little portable Sony speaker that I got for $20.
