I love Sonos products and was really excited about this speaker coming out. I watched all of the in depth interviews, etc. For the price point, the speaker lacked punch. It will sound good in smaller rooms and used for rear surround speakers. I will be returning my Era 300 and will wait for a possible ERA 500 (upgrade from the Sonos five that i really love) .. disappointed

Way too expensive for what you get. If money is no concern go for it.

Speaker is easily connected but satisfaction ends there. Thus speaker can not handle higher volume or deeper base

I have it connected with an Arc and Sub, I will say I wish the Dolby atmos allowed this speaker to come alive and use all its ports but it’s still a noticeable improvement from using one sls.

The speakers themselves are great but they introduced a new app that has broken almost everything. They refuse to apologize or correct the issues in a timely manner. Check out there social media to see the horrible experiences people are reporting! Mine just disappeared from the app and I can’t get them back. Highly advise people to stay away until they get their act together…if they ever do.

I bought two of these as part of a second surround set from Sonos because the first one was so great.. The list of negatives is so vast that the only positives i can mention are that it IS great- WHEN it works and WHEN it decides to work alongside the app. I have had it pop so loud it can be heard over the movies that are playing. It happens often. They’ve been reset, unplugged, and I’ve even called Sonos and still I have had nothing but issues with the entire line. For a product, or peoduct line, that charges such a premium, the expectation for a high end/ high quality product is expected; this is not the case here. I would suggest looking into other systems unless you have money to blow…

Although it was an open box that came without the power cord, we love the speaker and the Sonos platform. They gave us a generic power cord that is functional, but not as sleek as the original.

Purchased for a 150 sq ft home office that was recently renovated. The construction quality and controls are very good, however the audio quality is not very good... especially compared to a competent pair of bookshelf speakers being decently driven. My experience with other Sonos products is that usually performing the TruePlay tuning improves things quite a bit, but even after trying that and trying the speaker in four different locations in the room I just couldn't get what I would call "good" performance out of it, especially at this price. Vocals sound compressed and there's a tendency for the mid-range to resonate off of anything near the speaker creating unwanted acoustic reflections. The speaker is designed for Dolby Atmos which also limits the options for placing it. For example, it won't work well if you put it in a bookcase. Sadly I will be returning this. Probably get a Sonos Amp and hook it up to some decent bookshelf speakers.

It is great product, highly recommend. It does not synch with Echo Dot, so you can not group it with Alexa product.
