It Brings the BOOM!

I bought two of these and tried these out together and MAN do they bring the BOOM! Even just one of them puts out a lot more sound than say the larger HomePod (which I have and like). But I bought these to put with my Sonos Arc and 2 sub's for a complete home theatre setup with my Samsung QN90A QLED TV. I can't wait to get it all setup!

I mounted the speaker in the corner horizontally with the Flexon mount. The speaker fills the room with sound and has good high, mid and bass response. Eventually I may add another Five for true stereo, but one is just fine.

Sonos 5...WOW!

I had an 1st edition Sonos 5 that I upgraded to this latest edition by taking advantage of Sonos trade-up program and I'm very pleased. This speaker sounds awesome and I love how the new Sonos 2 app works. Sonos 5 is definitely a "5" !

Sounds come out rich, full and deep. It can always be balanced via an equalizer or TruePlay via iPhone. Does NOT have a mic so no voice assistant integration (maybe a plus for some). Got mine on sale and I heartily recommend it for that price. At full price, I personally feel it's a bit more expensive.

The sound quality is phenomenal, they’re easy to set up and the flexibility to listen to my own digital music or subscription service means there’s always something great to listen to. Just fantastic, highly recommended.

Staff at Best Buy was a little confused about what it was capable of(does not connect to tv w/o Sound bar) no big deal. The software that Sonos has created is so much easier than all competitors, it will be an easy decision to keep adding to this system.

It would be nice to have volume control on the device but not required. Also, would like to listen to my local station, but it may be independent of the radio apps affiliated with Sonos.

Posted .Thank you so much for your review! The Sonos Five does on on-device volume control with the little "buttons" on the top. They are four little circles in the shape of a square. You can play/pause/Volume + & -. You can even group that speaker with the last one that started playing by holding the Play/pause button down for a couple of seconds!
Very sorry to hear your local radio station is not available through TuneIn or Sonos radio. Might we suggest trying iHeart radio to see if it's there?
