The whole idea was to connect it via a line in. I returned it. I also had the same problem with their sub woofer a year ago, however that was because it would not connect via bluetooth, again returned. I have other SONOS speakers but will not look at them in the future

Mainly the volume was super low no matter what I did. It’s pretty clear that sonos wants you to use this as a wifi speaker instead of having it hooked up via 3.5mm wire. Such a shame really.
