Get Amazing Sound On the Go!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box, it’s visually pleasing. The design aspect is great. It can fit in, in any home and not stand out. Not a lot of waste and no fluff that would have to be discarded. Immediately, I noticed the huge brick of a plug. Where the heck can I plug this in? Was my immediate thought. It is huge. I visualized the space that I was going to put this in but it definitely cannot go on my nightstand, as planned. I have in-wall outlets and it still wouldn’t fit, even if I tried. That to me is unfortunate, but I’m hoping there is a legit reason to why the plug is so large. On to the positives. It comes wrapped in a duster bag, which is nice for taking it on the go. It is nice and solid. It definitely has a bit of weight to it, which is also nice. It’s water and dust proof, and drop resistant. It’s easy to grab and go without feeling like you’re going to drop it because of the ergonomic design in the back. Setup was very easy, as most Sonos speakers are if you already have their ecosystem. Just open the app and 2 minutes later you’re fully setup and ready to go. I don’t think I touched a single button, besides the power. That is a major plus for me when it comes to the Sonos ecosystem. They make it super simple to get going. You have the choice of adding whichever assistant you want to the speaker. We prefer Google. That setup was easy as well. Once you get going with that you have the option to turn off the speaker for more privacy. But if you have the speaker turned off you won’t be able to use the TruePlay feature. You can however, use the speaker and TruePlay without ever setting up an assistant. So if you’re not into using those services, it as well as, TruePlay will still work flawlessly. I haven’t heard much of a difference with TruePlay as yet. Maybe because we’ve moved it to several different spots since receiving it. So it hasn’t had the opportunity to adjust the sound to the room for long. You can use the speaker on WiFi or if you don’t have access to WiFi you can use it on Bluetooth. The only drawback (which isn’t a big deal) is that you won’t be able to use the Sonos app or group this speaker to the others while on Bluetooth. You’ll use your music streaming service for that. You’re also able to adjust the bass and treble. It has good bass response and the music just sounds beautiful. We haven’t heard much or any distortion while listening. We’ve listened to several genres and they all sound pleasant. On its own it’s a powerful speaker. Definitely, fills our entire home with music if we turn it up, but when grouped with our other speakers throughout the home, it’s amazing. We enjoy having music accessible through each part of the home, and we can either all listen to the same songs or ungroup them and listen to whatever, each of us prefer individually. I haven’t had it long enough to test it in outdoor weather conditions as we haven’t had rain and I haven’t been able to test how long the battery lasts on standby or playing continuously throughout the day(s). However, on initial testing, the battery seems to last a good deal of time while playing. The speaker doesn’t get hot seeing that it is wireless, on WiFi or Bluetooth. It just simply works and looks beautiful doing so. I truly love the design of it. It has definitely been a great addition, and I highly recommend.

Great sound, beast to connect
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is our third Sonos. Great sound, great look……..but absolutely atrocious to get connected and maintain connectivity. We have a primary access point and a booster AP. Our phones, PCs and other devices are intuitive enough to connect to either, not the Sonos. Once connected you’ll play the “cannot find the device” game although it’s listed in your connected devices. Juxtaposed to the BOSE system, the price, availability and sound quality are the only reason we put up with the headache of connecting to it each time, otherwise it would remain on the Bestbuy shelf for a person with an IT infrastructure degree.

||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to set up and the sound quality is as expected from Sonons. This has taken over the spot of our main echo in the kitchen.

Quality as usual.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The move feels like a transportable Sonos Beam. A nice upgrade from the Roam, depending on how you use the Roam.
