The Apple of sound...Sonos does it again
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned several Sonos products over the years, from the soundbar to the Play 2 and Play 1 and even the Sonos Sub and this device is another fine product from the Apple of sound. I mean lets face it, this thing is even packaged like an Apple item. I have tried all other bluetooth speakers including Bose and the sound does not even come close. This device is both Wifi and bluettooth capable which is much different than other devices and it is just a beautiful looking speaker. Looks similar to a Play 1 but is larger and weather proof and is easy to move around. The speaker is larger than most other bluetooth speakers and is full of bass and crystal clear sound and is all Sonos. You can play music from the Sonos app synced with your Apple or Amazon or even Sirius XM. There is a reason Sonos prices their devices higher than others, like Apple, they are designed great and just all around excellent products.
I would recommend this to a friend Too much trouble and no support from Sonos

Nightmare

Spent hours trying to setup with my home system, in conjunction with the old Sonos installed in the home I just moved into (that doesn’t work and is garbage as well). Absolutely no reason to deal with this nightmare. Will be returning.

I thought it was my mistake so we had them hang it and now i have miss matching speakers. I know first world problem, but it bugs us!

I took it to the lake and could not hear it about 70ft out. Battery just lasted about an hour and it was done. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Fell 2’ and now has a serious dent that can’t be fixed. The professed durability of this product supposedly designed for outdoor use does not live up to claims.

1 1/2 yrs old speaker just stopped working

Hooked up easy, put out good sound, and for 1.5 yrs all was good until 5/6/22. It just stopped working! It has the base charger so I plugged in the back to power up and nothing. Just stopped work, won't charge from either port. Paid $399 so it basically cost $18 dollars a month for one speaker. Save your money there are to many better speakers out there...my JBL from 5 years ago still works so by sonos

Move won't charge from completely dead via usb-c so it will need the base charger for a jump start, which seems to be giving you trouble as well. If you haven't yet, try a different power outlet for the charging ring. If you have, feel free to head over to Sonos.com/support. We'd love to get this issue resolved for you!

This was my 2nd Move speaker and trying to set them up to play as a pair in Bluetooth mode was ridiculous. Until they get get Sonos 1 and 2 to ONE platform, i will not buy another Sonos product. Returned this back to Best Buy. Btw…i have four other Sonos speakers in my house running on Sonos 1 just fine.

Posted .The Sonos Move is both WiFi and Bluetooth compatible. At home you can connect the Move to your WiFi network and control it through the Sonos app which supports over 80 music streaming services. This provides music that is not interrupted by your phone notifications and does not require your phone to be in Bluetooth range to continue playing music. By pressing the thin button on the back of the Sonos Move it switches it to Bluetooth mode (indicated by the top LED changing to blue) and then can pair to your phone (or other Bluetooth devices) in the same way your other Bluetooth devices pair. This flexibility allows your Move to be used in whichever mode is best for you. While you are at home, enjoy your streaming music with the higher quality of WiFi and no Bluetooth distractions. When you need to leave your WiFi network, switch the Move to Bluetooth.

Way beyond expectations

Sound and Volume are great. Battery life is hours. The Move is very simple to connect to both my existing Sonos system via wifi or with the touch of a button I am on Bluetooth. Worth every dollar!
