Customers are saying

Customers commend the Move Smart Portable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Speaker's superb sound quality, particularly its amazing bass and impressive volume. Its portability and long battery life are also frequently praised, making it a convenient and versatile option. However, some customers find the speaker's weight and size to be drawbacks, and a few mention that the price point may be relatively high. The speaker's ease of setup is also a positive aspect noted by some users.

The Sonos move is a wonderful addition to our existing Sonos ecosystem. We now have the ability to take music to any outdoor space or really anywhere on our property where before we weren't able.

As a long time Sonos speaker enthusiast I needed bigger speaker on the other side of the yard with no outlets. This fits the bill including quality and compatibility with current speakers and remote. All good!

The Move provides quality sound for such a small package and truly tunes itself to the space that it is in. I am impressed with the quality of sound while having the speaker outdoors as it’s full and balanced. I’ve not noticed any issues being connected to WiFi nor while being in Bluetooth mode as the speaker fits seamlessly into my lifestyle.

This speaker is awesome! Sounds amazing, works great - wireless. A little on the speedy side but you get what you pay for. If you're planning on traveling take the base charger with you. If it loses connection it's the only way to get it working again. Minor quirk.

Hi, and thank you very much for your review! We're so happy you're enjoying your Move. We'd love to hear more from you if this loss of connection persist at sonos.com/support as that shouldn't be happening often. One thing to try out (that you may already be doing): Hold the power button down for about 3-5 seconds. This shuts the Move off completely. You'll hear a sound when it shuts down and that's how you know it's totally powered off. Then, turn back on. Give that a whirl to see if it helps! Thanks again for your review! john.milton

    Treble is lackluster.

The Move has treble that sounds fine by itself, but when compared to my Sonos Five or my Sonos One’s+Sub, I find the treble to be almost a little dull sounding. Way too laid back for my tastes. Granted, I’ve got the treble dialed up just a tad on those other speakers. Unfortunately, similarly adjusting the EQ on the Move just doesn’t help much. This is despite trying it with Trueplay both on and off. To be honest, I actually find my Bose Portable Home Smart Speaker to be a more pleasant listen because it has a brighter, more exciting treble sound. I purchased the Sonos Move to replace the Bose; thus, this disappoints me. Sure the Move at times sounds like the bigger speaker that it is, with its marginally more authoritative bass, but I just don’t love it. That said, Sonos has a better app than Bose. And Sonos supports practically all the music services whereas Bose is missing some major ones. Just know that the Sonos Move probably won’t charge using the USB-C port when you most want it to. Apparently, the USB-C port only charges provided the battery isn’t completely dead. Moreover, it requires some kind of very specific voltage/wattage; none of the USB-C chargers I’ve tried work with it. Kudos to Sonos for offering a user-replaceable battery pack, though. Like all rechargeable devices, at some point it probably won’t hold a good charge. So this option is appreciated.

I bought this because it had amazing sound. However, I found it somewhat difficult to use because it has to be linked to your WiFi before it can be used as a speaker with Bluetooth. It also just made weird random sounds in my bedroom when not in use. I returned it because it was just too expensive for what I was going to use it for. I’m sure it fit the intended use for someone, but for me it was very expensive and I already have a Boise speaker.

This is a nice sounding speaker and it works great to pick up and take outside. Not every feature on Alexa works on this speaker. For example, you can’t ‘drop in’ to other Alexa devices and can’t make calls on it. The other thing that we have noticed is the microphone is not great at picking up voices. I will have Alexa devices in other rooms that will hear me instead of this speaker even though I am in the same room as this speaker. A very nice speaker aside from those issues.

The two Sonos wireless speakers purchased work great and have an excellent sound, especially when incorporated with my outdoor bars built in speakers. Incorporated the pool area perfectly!

I've only had it a few weeks and as usual, the awesome Sonos sound quality is unmistakable. Set up on the Sonos 2 app was super easy (as always). It's kinda pricey but when you're a fanatic for sound quality, you find yourself continually paying for the quality products you like. My only issue is - not sure if I'm doing something wrong - that for some reason, the Bluetooth connection seems to drop periodically so I have to re-pair it with my phone. Other than that, I would have given it 5 stars.

This speaker has good sound in a small, portable package. It has a surprising amount of bass for a small speaker. It works via WiFi using the SONOS system or directly using Bluetooth. The downside to Bluetooth is that calls interrupt your music. The battery seems to last a long time.
