Customers commend the Move Smart Portable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Speaker's superb sound quality, particularly its amazing bass and impressive volume. Its portability and long battery life are also frequently praised, making it a convenient and versatile option. However, some customers find the speaker's weight and size to be drawbacks, and a few mention that the price point may be relatively high. The speaker's ease of setup is also a positive aspect noted by some users.

The Sonos Move is a nice feature. This is the main reason I decided to go with Sonos over a couple of other brands even though I thought the sound quality in the other speakers was better . Connecting the Move through my cell was not easy. The installer took a while to figure it out even after reading up on it. The problem I am having is that the Move cuts in and out. When the Geek Squad came he suggested that it may be my router, when I checked into it it needs to be updated. I hope that helps the sound cutting in and out. It works fine when I use Sonos radio. The Move sound is nice plus its great to carry it around to different rooms.

Powerful! Amazing sound with deep bass coming from this portable speaker. I am really enjoying using it via wifi in my house and Bluetooth when I go to the beach. White color looks very modern.

I've heard MANY "portable speakers" and never once considered purchasing one due to the limitations of their fidelity. With Sonos' creation of the Move, I essentially took the plunge without much thought. I'd already bought in to the Sonos family, why not add a portable speaker? While the sound still doesn't blow me away, it's light years ahead of the competition. When I show up to other people's homes and have to listen to their tiny little portable speakers in the corner, it makes me wish I'd just show up with my Move more often. Especially because it can switch to Bluetooth mode, no Wi-Fi necessary, which is a beautiful addition.

Love this speaker!! I use it in my kitchen and couple it with the speakers in my living room (beam and sub) and then take it into our backyard when we’re by the pool - it is loud enough to cover most of our backyard and the sound doesn’t distort - also the battery lasts a long time - I’ve had it outside over 7+ hours and it was going strong!! This was a great purchase I’d definitely recommend it

The Sonos Move is the best sounding portable speaker I've ever owned. Mine was an open box unit. Consequently, the setup was a little painful since I had to factory reset it. Still, once the setup was done, listening to the speaker had been a pure pleasure. It has very crisp highs with good punchy lows. While it doesn't compete with a dedicated subwoofer, for a relatively small portable speaker, it's amazing.

We have a Sonos Five in the living room. We brought this in and compared sound back and forth between speakers. This Move sounded as good as the Five. We also brought it to the lake for a kids' back to school party. The sound was rich and full in open spaces, and carried well. We played for a couple of hours and barely touched the battery life. It is a hugely versatile speaker.

I have a handful of different Sonos products and I really like the sound of this. In comparing to the Sonos 1, this sounds way better hands down. The ability to move it around the house/outside, etc is also great. It's really a nice speaker. I have not really had to put the battery to the test yet as I sit it on the dock usually.

Love, love this addition to my vast Sonos collection. Perfect for taking my tunes with me. Also lets me take the music outside to the deck. Sounds great and extremely flexible with wifi and bluetooth capability.

Love it. Sounds great, super portable. Another great Sonos product. I love being able to pick it up and move it anywhere around the house (or within wifi range). A great feature about Sonos that I didn't know until I bought one, if you link it to a music service and have a playlist, once you start the play list from the app on your phone, it doesn't require your phone to be in range of the Sonos device. You can run to the store and when you get back your playlist is still going. Super smart! So annoying when your playlist starts cutting out if you get too far away with a typical bluetooth connection. Also, Sonos products just work, they never drop out of network like other devices.

    Lives up to the hype

I did a lot of research into portable speakers before I picked the Sonos Move. My highest priority was good sound, portability and cost not as much. Reviews for these were over the top good. I thought it must all be marketing hype… a bunch of fanboys posting how great they were.. couldn’t be THAT good. I listened to them along with a few others in store, but it’s hard to really tell a lot in that environment. But it sounded good enough to try one and see what I thought. Well, now I have 4… and a full arc sound bar sub and surrounds coming for the TV. Guess you can say I like them.. at first I thought maybe tue sound was a bit dark for me… but soon found myself listening to old music anew as I heard depth and notes I had not heard before. They are not dark just very rich full and very detailed sound. The biggest thing was is to have two paired in stereo, pricey but very worth it if you love good sound. 4 around the pool and you’ll feel like you’re at a floating concert. I’ve had some very good set ups over the years so not easy to impress, but impressed I am, hard to believe that sound comes from a small portable weatherproof speaker. Oh and they are super easy to set up, they practically set up themselves. Now I can’t wait for the rest of my sonos gear to get here!

A high quality speaker with double the functionality. It has the ability to link into your current system or go on the road as a portable. Has both Bluetooth and WiFi. This thing is worth the money.

A speaker that does it all. It connects to your home’s system, alexa enabled, and doubles as a portable bluetooth speaker when you take it out. It does all of that without clunky apps or buttons. As for the sound quality, it is what you’d expect from Sonos: excellent. It projects an expansive sound stage with clear highs and mids without distorting the music. The bass has to be felt to be believed.

We have 3 Sonos products in our house (a play 5, an amp connected to speakers, and a connect connected to powered speakers) We wanted to bring the music outdoors without having to deal with getting speaker wires through our walls. This unit was definitely pricey, but it sounds great (similar to our play 5), feels very solid, and was far cheaper than buying a other amp and outdoor speakers. Unlike our play 5, it keeps its connection to our system when you move it outdoors (since it’s battery powered), and the ability to use it as a Bluetooth speaker is a nice extra bonus. Battery life is great and the included carrying pouch helps protect it when bringing it to friends houses.

Had to replace my JBL extreme, this lacks looks compared to the JBL extreme, it is much more subtle and mature, but it sounds fantastic. Crisp bass, clear highs and lows and can be played very loudly.

Impressive sound. It is a heavy and well made speaker that integrates nicely with Sonos ecosystem. However, it cannot play TV audio. Switching to and from bluetooth audio sources is a simple press of a button. Definitely not for outdoor (camping, beach, etc) use but very good for bringing around the house or use in the backyard by the pool. Love this speaker. Only obvious downside is my unit's battery life isnt stellar

Sonos is indeed the industry standard for wireless audio. I purchased these units after researching on Yamaha (unavailable) and Bose (less variety). No regrets - Sonos delivers on sound quality, usability, and design. The Moves are pricey but gives two benefits - (1) portability to take space-filling sound outdoors, (2) Bluetooth to use outside of Sonos SW ecosystem
