it sounds so much better than Google or Alexa hubs/Studio speakers, but the built in Alexa is limited and not a full version. Also, there is no Bluetooth at all. it claims to have it but nope. That is a deal breaker. Tell Alexa to connect to your phone, forget about it. It won't happen with this unit and that is what is the deal breaker. The sound is great but not very loud, but missing the full ability of Alexa and Google smart commands and Bluetooth. Leaving out those important items make this speaker not worth this high cost

I bought 3 to add speakers to my SmartThings / Alexa environment. Primary reason was to have speakers integrated because Echo devices don't act as speakers in SmartThings and I wanted to generate alarms/announcements. The speakers themselves are solid and have good sound. Their app/software is the weak point. Setting up the first speaker took over 2 hours. (should have been less than 10 minutes) I went through the setup myself about 6 times, including reset/start-over before giving up and contacting Sonos tech support. They repeated the steps a couple times before digging into my network and determining there were some settings in my Asus router that were interfering. They seemed to have a specific set of instructions for my router as they drove straight to the specific screens in the web interface (factory settings, not something I did). One thing was to turn off the parental controls so if that is something you need it might be a problem for you. Fortunately for me they were no longer needed. They were finally able to get everything working with the first one. Adding the second took about 15minutes on my own as I still had to loop through a reset at least once. The third one went perfect in less than 10 minutes (each speaker went through a software/firmware download - that is the longest part) The integration with my Sirius XM and Spotify accounts was buggy. Each failed the first 2 times I but eventually got XM working. I gave up on Spotify as I don't use it much anyway. I primarily use the Alexa integration for playing music so you don't have to actually set those up in the Sonos app if you are using Alexa. You will if you want to use the Sonos app. Ultimately I would recommend the Sonos stuff. Your setup may go better than mine but be prepared for a bumpy initial setup.

Quality product! Easy to set up, easy to use app, and great sound quality!

The Sonos speaker was easy to set up. Just plug it in and download the Sonos app on your phone and it walks you through the installation. I liked it so much I bought two more and now I have music through most of my house. I can choose which rooms to group or group all three speakers to play the same source or three different sources on three different speakers. Pretty cool and insanely easy to use. It makes me want to sit at my desk and do paperwork in a room where the only thing I had before were my laptop speakers. I'm thrilled!

A little heavy on the bass and no Bluetooth but it still sounds amazing

Blows Alexa Echo speakers out of the water - there's no comparison to the clarity or richness of the sound - the Sonos wins hands down. Bass is great for such a small speaker. Alexa integration works well - though sometimes struggles with highly-integrated smart homes. If you have Google Wifi (mesh) - note that you'll need to install at least one unit to the primary "puck" via ethernet if you want to use the Sonos system via wifi... otherwise, you'll run into problems. Normal use = amazing... only drawback would be for non-techy Google Wifi (mesh) users.

Nice design and great sound. Very easy to set up, just follow the steps from the app. Will buy another to set up as stereo speakers.

the speakers sound awesome and the Alexa feature is extremely helpful. what they don't tell you is the speakers are limited to wireless speeds of 2.4. they don't integrate with Alexa as easily as they make it sound. also very pricey.

Solidly built and very well packaged. Incredible good sound quality for such a small speaker. Major drawback was the installation. It was a nightmare trying to install. First, it would not recognize my WiFi password code even though I typed it correctly several times. Hooked it up to my router with an ethernet cable and successfully was able to get music. But then the speaker lost connection. Contacted the Sonos Community form and learned that they were having problems with updating fixes. The installation took so many steps and because of the failed connectivity, I took it back to the store. Bummer Not the fault of Best Buy. I would recommend this to a friend only on the condition that they could get solid support from Sonos.

Great speakers, I use them for 5.1 sound with the Sonos beam and sub. Setup takes about one minute and a child could do it, so simple!

Super sound, can also stand anywhere, as it can be outbred. Very pleased.

Love this little speaker (with a big sound)! I have 8 in my current house and had 8 in my last house. Its VERY easy to set up and connect with your favorite streaming music sources. The flexible voice option is great for the many little tasks you usually do with your phone. Our favorite: "Alexa, turn off/on the dog door"!

Surprisingly BIG sound for such little speakers. Very good bass response too. I highly recommend a pair for true stereo. It fills the room beautifully. If you don't mind spending a little more, the Sonos Five is pure magic! I bought two of those as well and the sound is AMAZING! paired with the Amazon HD streaming service, it sounds like I have the band in the house playing.

I have several Sonos products and love them all. The Sonos one sounds great and is very easy to use, especially with airplay functionality. It’s nice to play directly with my phone without having to go through the Sonos app. I have several Sonos one throughout my house. Some are freestanding and some are linked to a Sonos beam and used for surround sound with my tv. Functionality is simple for any setup you can imagine and the speakers sound phenomenal. Highly recommended.

This has got to be the best smart speaker ever it has great sound that gets better and better the longer you play it. I love that it’s portable because I live on the lake and have a deck right off it, that I listen to jazz on frequently the sound tends to travel across the lake. I have heard neighbors scream out they like my jazz. I run it with my Sonos gen 1 and Sonos one gen 2 with mic. Linked together the sound is unreal. Can’t wait to purchase Sonos Five.

I can compare this directly to the Sonos Era 100 as we bought both at the same time. I can’t discern any notable difference in the sound between the two. It could be that we have them in two different room types, but I would not hesitate to recommend buying the One instead of the Era 100 while the One is still being sold. The cost savings (especially to get an open box One instead of a full-price Era 100) is fairly dramatic. We bought this to replace an Echo Dot. We still use Alexa with it but the sound is in a completely different league. It fills the room with music like the Dot never could. Alexa seems to be as responsive as the Dot as long as you give it a moment to acknowledge that it’s awake before you give it a command. For iOS users, the AirPlay works flawlessly and if you have multiple Sonos speakers you can have them play the same thing together. While I think the Era 100 is a good speaker now and for the future, you won’t be missing out on anything (in my opinion) by choosing the cheaper One while they’re still being sold!

I have had Sonos since their beginning and they continue to put out high performance speakers that are great to use. I use it to play music/sounds while sleeping, listen to music, be my alarm, give me weather and traffic updates, etc, all my talking to it. Can’t beat the ease of use. And it integrates so seamlessly into the rest of the system it is clear just how hard they worked to make this a premium system. Would recommend to anyone. Worth the price.

We are a new to the SONOS family. Our relationship started about two years ago and we have not looked back. We have switched out all speakers, sounds bars, amps, you name it - we have it. We even buy them as gifts for other family members. The sound is impeccable, the price is steep for some of the products however we look at it as an investment. We have not been disappointed.

We've purchased a handful of these speakers and the sounds is very good for the size of the speaker. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the richness of the music. Alexa configuration and setup is a bit finicky and frustrating however once done it seems to work fine. Wish the integration with Alexa was a bit tighter as there are limitations of the commands you can perform and it seems a bit gimmicky at times. You'll need a power outlet. It's the one thing we wish was different but the speaker, although wireless capable, will always need a source to plug power into. Power cables are unsightly which made it difficult to wall mount where we wanted. Keep this in mind if you intend to use them on the wall. All in all we are very happy with these speakers.
