Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the One (Gen 2) Smart Speaker's sound quality, ease of use, and compact size, with many praising its setup process and bass response. However, customers are negative about the lack of Bluetooth connectivity and some inconsistencies with the voice assistant and app functionality. The price point also received mixed reviews, with some finding it a bit high. Overall, the speaker's audio performance is a major selling point, though some features require improvement.

    Too Many Issues

The sound on these speakers are great, when they work. The app that controls them (the only way to control them) is very buggy and makes the experience beyond frustrating. Also, you cannot use these as a surrond system while playing Amazon Music because the sound for each song drastically increases and decreases. One song is blaring louds and the next one you cannot hear it unless you turn up the volume. I have to have the app open when every song changes to be readybto adjust the volume. This is a known issue with Sonos and Amazon Music, but they dont have an extimated time it will be fixed. Meanwhile I am using very expensive speakers without any surround sound. Im disappointed in Sonos and would never buy them again.

The Sonos SL speakers offer impressive sound quality with rich bass and clear highs, perfect for music enthusiasts and home theater setups. Their sleek design seamlessly blends into any room décor. Easy setup and compatibility with various streaming services make them a versatile choice. However, some users may miss the voice control feature found in other Sonos models

Hey Google, Next Song! Make sure only your Sonos speaker hears you bc if another smart device hears you, it causes confusion and doesnt skip the song. Since Sonos upgraded their app, all my Sonos speakers have problems. I recommend you stay away from Sonos. Keep in mind that I bought two of these so I could pair them as Left and Right speakers.

Instructions included did not help at all with set up. I cannot seem to connect it to my Ray that I purchased as well and have gotten zero help from their online site nor from their customer service. It is not as streamlined and easy as advertised.

App stinks. Trouble syncing together. Once you get it set up you can't change networks without physically connecting them to Ethernet cables. Should of stayed with Bose!

Hi, and thank you for your review! It sounds like there were some network discrepancies as a forced physical connection is not something that is needed unless there are network interference or connectivity issues. We do offer the Boost to create a dedicated mesh network just for your Sonos speakers if the wifi environment is an issue, and extensive troubleshooting with our support team. You can visit us at sonos.com/support and we can get your system up and running! john.milton

I don't know why the reviews are so good. The sound was tinny and hollow and underwhelming. You are better off just getting the Alexa echo dot newest generation - same sound quality, but more functionality. This Sonos speaker for the price point was disappointing. Returned it.

I don’t recommend this. I purchased it do use in a business to play music. It often shuts off and does not come back on unless I come back and reconnect my iPhone to it. It’s difficult to use in this scenario.

    • Brand response from Sonos Customer Care
      Posted .

Thanks for the feedback! If you are using this in a business there are a couple of things to try to avoid this problem. The first is to make sure that you are using a commercial streaming service. These services cover all of the required licensing for streaming music in a commercial space and generally do not have a time out feature that stops the music like personal accounts have built into their software. Sonos supports 10 of these services along with our wide catalog of personal streaming services. Second, if this is still a problem, Sonos has the ability to begin a stream of music from a music service when you set an alarm inside of the Sonos app. Setting multiple alarms at intervals throughout the day will ensure that your music starts fresh at each alarm and does not turn off. john.milton

Loved my original Sonos speakers. Have them in my business and at home. The minute I added this one, it’s caused problems. Not a fan. Have had to return and purchase 3 of these. Still not working properly.
