I have been wanting this for a while. Thought I would use it in the bathroom, however, I ended up using it in my bedroom. I use the sonos alarm app & wake up to this. I absolutely love this!

I bought 2 of these and have placed one in my kitchen and one in my living room. I compare them to a really expensive boombox, but it's actually so advanced, I shouldn't. Instead of having to put in a cassette, or a CD, all you do is sync your phone, and as long as you're playing through the free Sonos app, you can stream any music on your phone or other music services you use. i was disappointed I couldn't stream Pandora or Spotify because I don't have the premium paid services for these, but I have a lot of music through iTunes and am happy to be able to stream that and Google Play music. The sound is really good, but lacks a nice subwoofer. You can add one for a hefty price, but I'm okay without it. It's definitely added to the ambience at my house for hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. Happy with my purchase!

So I was hesitant about the Play 1 in store thinking that it wouldn't have enough bass to satisfy my listening needs. I want the Play 5 but i couldn't bring myself to spend the money. Getting this speaker home it was like I was listening to a different speaker. Obviously listening to them in store just doesn't do it justice. I cant imagine how good the higher models would sound at home. I will be buying another for upstairs.

If you are buying the playbar and the subuffer I strongly recommend you add a pair of play 1's, and your whole surround system will be amazing, the only little issue it might be a little overprice, in my personal case it was worth the investment.
