These things sound great in a room. They put out pretty good volume for being so small.

We had originally been looking for a new surround sound system and came across the new Sonos speakers and was very impressed with the quality of what it sounded Like. In checking out the speakers we found the Sound bar and purchased it. We love the Sub Woofer but are in the process of savi g up the money for it. It's well worth the sacrifice to have complete system. Plus additional g on more speakers if we want.

It offers the full Sonos experience, with support for most key services (including Spotify, Pandora, Rdio) and super-reliable wireless streaming. Sound quality is good considering the size and gets even better when paired with a second Play:1 for true stereo playback. And Sonos Controller apps are available for Android, iOS, Mac, and PC.

Easy set up very good sound.Multiple room music has never been easier. Imagine listening to rock in on room and jazz in another. The app for controlling everything can be done from your phone

Added 2 of these Sonos play:1 speakers to a Sonos Beam soundbar. They add a beautiful depth to the sound in our living room. We use them mostly for music but they also act as a full surround sound system for movies. The sound is so full we did not need to add a powered base to the system. Much more flexible and much better sound then the Bose or Samsung bars we also tried.

This is the 4th Sonos speaker we've bought for our house. This one we bought for my daughter's room for Christmas. We have a Play:3 in the kitchen and a Play:3 in the family room. Our son has a Play:1 in his room, and now my daughter has hers. The quality of the sound in each is delightful, and being able to control any and all speakers from any of our mobile devices is so convenient.
