This is a great speaker. Setup was a breeze. You need to download the sonos app on your computer or smart phone to control the speaker. It connects easily to pre-programmed radio stations from iheart radio and Tune-in radio as well as others. It also has HD radio stations. You can add your own stations as well. The sound is amazing.

We got one and had to add another to get the true surround sound experience. Easy to add to existing account. great sound!

Sonos is an easy sound system to set up with great quality. I have have added speakers to my original setup because of this. I would definitely recommend it.

Bought the speaker to compliment my Sonos sound system. We have the Sonos sound bar on our living room TV and a speaker hidden above our cabinets in our kitchen. This speaker is in the office and can be moved to any room in our home. The Sonos system is managed by an app on the phone and home iPad. The sound is perfect for one room and to extend the system throughout the home whether playing music or TV sound. The darker color is hidden on a side table behind a picture and barely noticeable. We plan to add 2-3 more of these in the future

Sonos is a must have ...its got amazing sound quality and yet it's design is modern, doesn't take too much space, I would purchase more for my rooms...

Heard one of these in a small bar in the UK. Was amazed at the sound then. Bought two and now have them as a stereo pair.. Sweet sounds, easy setup..

I am very happy with this speaker. Works best at a mid-volume. Some distortion at high volume. Works seamlessly with the SONOS software.

The addition to our Sonos play at and subwoofer adds extra dynamic sound to our living room but the best part of these speakers is being able to separate them and use them in different areas on different channels. While the football game is on in the living room, this speaker may be playing Pandora or Spotify in another room or in the patio. I plan to buy several more of these and use them as a 5.1 Surround system that can split into individual speakers for use in a multitude of ways. Sonos sound quality is awesome and everything is controlled from the app!

Our house is on a slab so I have been looking for a way to get good surround sound without ripping half of my drywall out. These are amazing for their size especially since we bought the sub too. One thing though..sonos integration with spirit stinks. No radio function.

I love my Sonos play 1 speaker. The sound is crystal clear and very loud. I like the size and glad I went with Sonos play1 as oppose to play 3 or play 5.

I bought this for a backyard party - the sound is awesome. Now I use it in my house - wherever we want to play music. It is so easy to use - we have no problems using it.

I originally thought I would need two of these speakers per room with one set as the R channel and one as the L channel. It was surprising how well this speaker filled a room with music. For a whole house system, you really only need one speaker per room. You are not looking for HiFi with a whole house system; just filling the house with music. I'm not kidding when I say the sound is really good with this speaker. It's amazing. When you pair them for stereo sound, it's really, really good!

Many people ask me about the difference between the Play:1 and the One and I always tell people to buy this instead. It still works with Alexa when you install the skill but you'll need to buy an Echo or other capable device to make things work. Once you have all the pieces put in place, you can simply tell Alexa what to play and she will. I also recommend the Play:1 for sound quality. Given what this speaker is (a bookshelf speaker), the quality is surprisingly good. Good low end and good high end. The mid-range is okay but it's not terrible. I would definitely recommend getting two to pair them up for stereo. Otherwise, if sound is important to you, move to the Play:3. One more thing: the Sonos software is compatible with a ton of music services including Apple Music and Spotify. So don't worry, as the likelihood of your music service working is high. I do wish it supported Apple Podcasts but this can't be perfect. Otherwise, I use Stitcher for Podcasts and it works just fine. Overall, I would highly recommend because for the price, you can't beat the performance.

Hooked this up to my Sonos Playbase and set up the 2 PlayOnes as surrounds. System sounds amazing. Super easy to set up and works with cable remote.

These are high quality speakers that allow great versatility in my home. I use them as surrounds in my media room and stand alones throughout the house.
