I have been completely happy with the ease of set up and sound performance with Sonos. The app for controls adds an extra appreciated ease of control!

Many people ask me about the difference between the Play:1 and the One and I always tell people to buy this instead. It still works with Alexa when you install the skill but you'll need to buy an Echo or other capable device to make things work. Once you have all the pieces put in place, you can simply tell Alexa what to play and she will. I also recommend the Play:1 for sound quality. Given what this speaker is (a bookshelf speaker), the quality is surprisingly good. Good low end and good high end. The mid-range is okay but it's not terrible. I would definitely recommend getting two to pair them up for stereo. Otherwise, if sound is important to you, move to the Play:3. One more thing: the Sonos software is compatible with a ton of music services including Apple Music and Spotify. So don't worry, as the likelihood of your music service working is high. I do wish it supported Apple Podcasts but this can't be perfect. Otherwise, I use Stitcher for Podcasts and it works just fine. Overall, I would highly recommend because for the price, you can't beat the performance.

I got Sonos Play 1 refurbished from the best buy store. I got a deal for such a quality sound and easy set up. Will buy more to complete my home set up.

Classic Bose pairing system made for easy setup. Good sound quality fills up a smaller room or pairs well with a larger speaker to fill a big room.

Bought the Sonos Play:1 speaker to enhance TV output in large room with very high ceilings. It has worked beautifully. Can also play music with a small change through the App. However, you will definitely need a Sonos Boost unit that establishes a separate hidden wireless network for only your Sonos equipment. Without the Boost you might experience intermittent sound interruption on the Sonos Play:1.

The Sonos Play 1 are incredible, I purchased my second pair on Black Friday special pricing. These speaker sound awesome and the app is so easy to use.

We use the Play:1 speaker in our bathroom and it sounds great with perfect base and highs. We use the Play:3 in our kitchen since it is a larger room.

I own a play 5 and wanted to expand. I purchased this for my bathroom. Its perfect for the space. It was very easy to add to my system and performs better than expected.

I bought this Play:1 for my garage. I have a Play:1 in another other room in the house and wanted to be able to have a more distributed whole house system. I also bought a Play:3 for the living room. Overall, a great whole house system.

I've got three of these and they're terrific. Easy to set up, sound great. Using as an alarm clock is cool. I plan to get three or four more to complete our home set up.

It’s a great speaker if you are using this only for music. However, it’s not worth the money if you considering this for your Sonos surround. Although, I have to admit the convenience and setup is super simple comparing this to the traditional music system with tons of cables running from the inside

Purchased this unit to start adding Sonos speakers to other rooms of the house. Pricey addition, but sounds good, and pairs easily with my other units.

These are really good speakers, especially paired with the Sonos Soundbar. You can use them as the surround speakers, or in different rooms.

This little speaker sounds much bigger than it’s size would lead you to think. Controlled by the great Sonos app, it’s extremely versatile.
