I don't believe there is a better wireless sound system for great sound in a space-saving configuration. After buying one I added another, highly recommended, for a fuller stereo sound. Wow! all I could ask for in great musical sound.

I am a repeat Sonos customer and I couldn’t be happier with my Play 1s as read surrounds!! If you adjust the settings, you can get great sound out of them! Really amazing for the size and the flexibility and easy setup!! Bye bye wires!!

I have Sonos all over my house, and do many sonos installs. Their surround setup is great, but pricey at $1900. Their pricing is peculiar, the Sonos connect ($350) is $150 more than the play 1 ($199), has the same features as the play 1, but it's only a preamp with no speaker, yet priced $150 more than the play 1. However, to test and enjoy the features of Sonos, start with this play 1. Great anywhere in the house., and you can merge zones to play the same music everywhere. Theses some other manufacturers trying to play catch up with Sonos, but they're not there yet.

I have always felt that the problem with home theater systems is the complexity of installation as well as the wiring involved. When the Sonos system became available, of course I was interested. Rather than making the whole investment, I decided to buy speakers piece by piece and slowly build up a system. The smaller speaker sounded okay at the Best Buy store. However, at my house, in the foyer, as a standalone unit, wow! It filled the space beautifully to the point in which it was difficult to pinpoint the exact source of sound. Another unit was purchased and placed in the bathroom. Absolutely fantastic. Set up was a breeze, truly, not lying. The unit to me seems high quality, is heavy, and the sound is perfect for what I'm looking for. I cannot wait to complete my whole home theater system including the sound bar and the subwoofer. Highly recommend it, you will not be disappointed.

Easy to set up, easy to use, the Sonos Play:1 works beautifully. The app was easy to download and set up with music on our computer. Plus, there are many included streaming stations in every musical genre. A great, wireless way to expand the reach of your music.

The Sonos Play 1 is a compact device that produces great sound. Its size lets you place the speaker in convenient locations and keep it out of the way.The app could use a little improvement however as its not the most user friendly

This is my first Sonos product. I bought the Play 1 and it was so easy to set up and use. The sound is great, even with just the one speaker. I intend to buy another Play 1 soon, and then add to my system with the Play 5 as soon as I can. A little pricey for all of the speakers that I want, but will just add a piece whenever I can. In the meantime, one speaker works wonderfully in my living room.

Better sound quality. I was a Bose fanatic until I heard what this product produced. Easy to use and setup. Once programmed, all it takes is a push of of button for that quality sound. Grouping is phenomenal. I have the play 1 and 3. Waiting to purchase the 5.

easy setup, 20 minutes from open box to ready to go. Huge variety of music and other entertainment available. Very good sound from such a compact unit. Play 1 price convinced me to try it and glad I did.

With two SONOS Play 1 added to the existing 3.1 (sound bar and Sub) system and created a 5.1 surround home entertainment center. It play both great music and movie Dobly surround. The app is so easy to use and so much fun. It make music actually fun again.

I purchased the sound bar and sub a few months back and wanted to round out my system with the addition of the Play 1. I am very impressed by the overall sound quality and experience that you get when you have these all in one room. You do get a true surround sound quality. I have even moved the Play 1 upstairs to the masterbed room to use the wireless capabilities and really enjoy the sound and conveinience of being able to listen to your music/playlists wherever you like along with the ability to group or separate the units via my IPhone App. The App is a great feature that gives you control of where and how you want to deliver your sound. I am planning on purchasing a separate Play 1 for the master bedroom as I don't want to have to move the current one from room to room. The Sonos system, while being pricey, really puts out great sound quality and worth the cost!

We love this speaker and Alexa feature is so smooth and works with anything we ask for. Even turn on our TV and play any song we want. quality is amazing. We are getting rid of the other Bose we have and getting new Sonos ones.

The Play one is a very good but pricy speaker. It is the smallest offered from Sonos but puts out very solid sound, though a little heavy on the bass (this can be adjusted in the Sonos app equalizer). All sonos speakers are wifi streaming only speakers (2.4GHz only too - no 5GHz). You download the Sonos app and control the speaker through that. You can add all of the popular streaming apps such as Spotify, Pandora, Amazon music, etc. Recently, Sonos has been working with these companies and now you can control Spotify and Pandora straight through those apps without having to open the Sonos app. This feature should be added to more apps in the future. Coming from bluetooth speakers to a strictly wifi streaming speaker took me some time to get used to. There's no auxiliary port, no bluetooth, nothing on the back of the speaker except an ethernet port and a mounting screw hole. After using this for over a month I can highly recommend the play one. It puts out great sound in a compact package. I can only imagine how the larger Play 3 and Play 5 sound. I've got two play ones and the Sonos Playbar. You can create a stereo pair with two identical speakers (play 1, play 1 or play 3, play 3 etc). This plays in separate left and right channels. You can place multiple sonos speakers throughout your house and play the same music through all of them or separate songs on each. I've got the two play ones connected to my playbar as surround sound speakers for my television. It sounds great and I'm very happy with it. You can also hook up an amazon echo device for voice commands if you already have one of those. I highly recommend the Play one and I'll probably add more over time throughout my house as they go on sale.

The Play 1 provides amazing sound for a small, portable speaker system! I have a Play 5 and a Play 3, and the addition of this Play 1 fits well into my Sonos family. It's easy to set up and reconnects very fast when moved to a different room in my house.

I installed the entire set of speakers (sound bar, sub woofer, three speakers) in under an hour - including unpacking and recycling the boxes. Wonderful sound. Wireless - so you can place speakers anywhere. I definitely recommend this product to others.

This is my third Play:1. I already have 2 others throughout my house, as well as a Play:3. These things sound great, and look good while doing it. Easily one of the best products I've owned.

Bought this item as a gift for my Dad. For a small space, this a great speaker with a lot of bang for the buck. Great in small spaces too. I like the sound more on the Play 3 and Play 5, but those would be overkill for him.

The sound out of this little package is wonderful, we use it in the kitchen, and it fills the area with clean and crisp sound. I was also impressed with the amount of bass it prroduces. First of many Sonos products for us is what I am thinking.

They sound great for fairly small speakers. Bought them while they were slightly on sale this holiday. Also purchased the Playbar and Sub. Beefs up the sound for watching movies/tv as well as listening to tunes on Spotify.
