Very small and compact with rich sound.. my wife got this and loved it so much she bought another one for the bedroom

I bought two. These are quality speakers and the price is right. The sound that comes from these is phenomenal! I got these for surround sound for the TV. I have the Sonos 250W 2.1-Ch Amplifier and this allowed me to hook up the vintage Fisher speakers that I have along with the Play 1 speakers. Couldn't be happier with this purchase and I want to thank the associate that was so knowledgeable with Sonos and with helping me select these.

I use this speaker in my master bathroom primarily for music and online radio in the morning. The alarm clock feature within the Sonos App makes everything easy to setup, and now I wake up to my favorite morning show, and don't worry about turning it off when I leave because I know it will turn off for me in 2 hours. The sound is very respectable considering the size. Some distortion kicks in with some bass-heavy songs, but kept at a moderate volume level this won't be an issue. The Sonos Play 3 takes up a larger footprint, but does a better job of handling the bass if you really want that extra oomph. Overall, when putting this up against a system such as a Bose setup, it clearly holds its own and at a lower price point. The app works great on Apple and Android devices - I did have some issues getting my laptop to work which was fixed with some Windows Firewall changes. Very happy with the purchase - when they go on sale I will be filling each room with at least one of these. This product would get 5 stars from me at a $100-150 price point.

I think I did a fair amount of research on “wireless” speakers, Not a geek at all, for what I needed these for they were ideal, great sound, easy hook up, no problems, my only wish is that I could play my TV through them, otherwise it’s a five star

Sonos is a great product and is very user friendly. This speaker is plug and play with simple setup. Fantastic sound.

The Best Buy salesman was wonderfully helpful, and gave me a lot of alternative brands and combinations, but Sonos was best for me. I combined the Sonos 5 with a Sonos 1 for the patio, and I'm really, really happy!

I own 4 of these. I have a pair in two room sets as surrounds and I have a Play One in my garage. As surrounds, placement is easy and the sound is perfect. They hit great low tones in movies and music alike. For music I used the Sonos app to change the room settings slightly to bring a little more power to them and give the room more separation in a more stereo like mode. One of my rooms has a sub but these do fair very well without.

I purchased this to add to my existing system and it is as excellent as expected. Great to be able to play all speakers at once or one at a time. Great sound with an excellent app to adjust anything you want. Can stream from almost all major services, your music library, Sirius XM, etc. I highly recommend this system or just a single speaker.

Great sound for such a small speaker. I really like that I can have music in the kitchen without losing counter top space.

It took me a long time to buy a Sonos. I wish I had bought it much, much sooner. This is the speaker to get. You can pair it with a second, the sound is incredible, it works with every streaming service out there, and there's no "big brother" recorder listening in on your every move. The Sonos One is about $50 more expensive as of this writing and basically it's the same speaker with voice. I'm very happy with my Play:1..so much so I bought 3 more!

You would not expect such a big sound from a small speaker. Perfect size for a bedroom but the sound is big enough for larger rooms.
