Added these to the soundbar for rear surrounds, they sound great. They were easy to add, and the app easily allows you to tailor the sound any way you want. Great quality product!

Easy to set up and use with the Sonos app, streaming music throughout the house. This is my third Play 1 and its got a great sound for such a compact speaker. Great to stream Pandora or play my iTunes library.

Moving into the 21st century -- and this speaker just blew us away. Quality of sound is great, easy to set up and access from phone as well as the computer. My husband, the music lover is very impressed.

I had heard the Sonos speakers at a friend's house and decided to give them a try for my kitchen. I, of course, can move them anywhere I want. At my firend's suggestion I purchased a pair of PLAY 1 s and set them up in stereo. They are very easy to setup and controlling them from my iphone is a dream. I listen mostly to Pandora and Sirius. The stereo sound from these small speakers is close to incredible. Cyrstal clear. No, given their size they don't have deep base, but everything they do have is clear and musical, and very pleasing. Although you can buy them anyway you want, I would recommend buying a pair of Play 1's, as opposed to a single Play 1, Play 2 or Play 3. Try a pair out and you will be happy you did.

I want to start by saying that having only purchased a single Play:1 so far, it is unlike any speaker i’ve Owned previously, in quality and usability. It’s Bose level or better in my opinion because it orientates with your room, giving the best acoustics for the spot. The twist with the Sonos system though, is it’s all streamed directly to the speaker, meaning you don’t have anything other than an AC and Ethernet input. I was not fully aware of what this truly means. This means that yes, when you use them, you’ll need to use your phone or device of choice with the Sonos app. They WILL NOT PLAY anything OUTSIDE of the app. Every user will feel differently about this, it has its general restrictions due to certain aspects (ie using a browser - no current option within Sonos App to stream via URL webpage). It takes getting used to I’d say, but for the sheer quality of sound this beautiful little cube creates it’s absolutely worth it. It makes you appreciate the level that Sonos has taken audio to as they cut out the dependency on so many variables (connectivity between device and speaker, latency, control distance (if you are on your WiFi, you’re connected to the speaker... take that Bluetooth!). I feel that only time and further development on their app will only unlock more user interface and ability. My next step is to add a Beam and another Play:1 to give me 5:0 surround sound. Once you have at least this basic set, you can do tv home theater connectivity. Thank you Sonos!!

These are really cool, good sounding speakers. I originally got three, and quickly added another three for other rooms/corners of same rooms. The app is pretty easy and puts all your music in one place. The setup is easy. One annoying thing is that if you subscribe to Apple Music, and download tons of stuff so you're not always sucking bandwidth (example - I download everything at work with fast internet bc we live in an area with no cable internet, just DSL, so I don't want to use precious limited bandwidth streaming music) the Sonos app won't access your downloaded Apple Music - only stuff you actually bought. Same w amazon music. Very annoying because it defeats the purpose of downloading the music. Otherwise they sound great, everybody knows that. I'll probably get a play 5 for a bigger room at some point - right now I have two play 1's in there, which works out well.

The whole Sonos line of speakers is remarkable and the play1 has amazing sound for a small speaker. Very attractive design with great sound, definitely start with this speaker as you build out your system.

I purchased a playbase and 2-play one speakers. Everything was very easy to set-up with the TV and blu-ray player. Make sure you get the Sonos app loaded on your smart phone or computer before starting. Then follow Sonos directions. They are very good in getting your system set-up and operational. Afterwards play with the app on your smart phone to tweak the sound system, gives you the flexible to set-up how much sound you want coming out the rear speakers. I played with it thru my smart phone and computer menu set-up a bit different between the two but very intuitive. I found the smart phone (Android) the easy way to set-up the system.

I have multiple Sonos speakers but the Play 3 was too big for my bathroom vanity. The Play 1's compact design and great sound makes it perfect for listening to traffic and weather reports or music.

Very easy to install and sync. We added this unit to our other sonos in the house as we are extremely happy with quality of sound and ease of use.

Great sound. Easy to set up. Set this up on our screened in porch and added it to our family room network. Can play the same music in the family room and porch or different music.

The Sono wireless speakers are awesome. The sound quality is great. I love the way I can add a small speaker to each room and everything is wireless and I can listen in every room. What a great system!!!

Let me first start with the positives; sound awesome, interface awesome, support awesome, app awesome. Now on to the not so positive; price, connectivity and use with existing wireless systems. I have purchased two Sonos Play 1 speakers which I use in two separate rooms of my house. The sound produced by the Play 1 is fantastic and fills the room. I just wish you didn't have to purchase a separate device to connect the speakers to an existing stereo system. Just to give you a quick rundown of cost each Play 1 runs about $199. I have a modest 3 bedroom home. I would love to have a Play 1 in my master bedroom, my kitchen, living room and office. So let's do the simple math that would cost almost $800! Now, if Sonos would just write some simple code into their system you could easily connect to an existing stereo system. But you think that would happen? Of course not. The only way to connect is to add the Sonos Bridge which costs about $350. The costs of the speakers and the connect now is about the same as my mortgage payment. In conclusion, this is a great product for someone who has a lot of disposable income.

Initially I had airplay speakers in my house and they offered the opportunity to stream music wirelessly from my idevices. However, they would loose their connection to my network and had to be reconnected frequently. Since I read many reviews about the Sonos systems I decided to give it a try. So far I am very happy with it. It streams music very reliably and if you have multiple Sonos players/speakers, you can group them together. I do wish it also had airplay built in and was a bit cheaper. However, Best Buy sometimes has open-box players that come at a good discount.
