I'm a big fan of sonos. Their stuff just works. And the sound that you get out of these little speakers is incredible. I have 3 play ones at home, but these were for work. We use them as PA extenders (nursery cry rooms, etc) and musac - great idea for funeral homes, daycares, etc. Can't say enough good about them.

I have a play 5 and play 3. This is a terrific addition to the Sonos system. One speaker sounds great, but two are even better for stereo separation. If you are buying a Sonos system this is a good speaker to get started with.

I'm surprised when noticed the overwhelming enthusiasm around Sonos, not Boss, not JBL which I only knew about in the speaker world. With the decent discount I gave a shot and bought two of Sonos Player 1, which to my complete surprise it delivers a astounding sound out of the relatively small size. I also have Amazon Echo, but often I chose to play Amazon prime through Sonos than Echo, the difference is day and night. It is rumored in 2017 Sonos will support Amazon echo/dot, so vocal command may be able to control the play music directly on Sonos. That's good news. But until then, I reserve the last star.

We have 2 Sonos Play 1 speakers configured as a stereo pair. Im no audiophile but the sound is great- exceeds Bose speakers we have previously used. Set-up with the Sonos app is great as well, and they work well with an echo dot we have them paired with. Cant wait to get more throughout our home.

Fab sound even w/ just one speaker! And supper easy to set up!

I first started with this speaker.. I absolutely loved it.. So I decided to purchase another one and then I bought the Playbar and now I own a wonderful 5.0 surround sound to go along with my samsung 4k tv. Sound is amazing.. Next I will purchase the Sonos SUB to have a ful surround sound experience.

Over the holidays I found out that just about everyone in my family has some version of a Sonos system. I purchased one shortly thereafter, set it up in about 10 minutes and we use it now almost daily. We set up an old ipad 1 as the interface and everyone (even the technically challenged) use it with ease. A huge hit. Oh, and the sound is great!

Love Sonos for ease of setup, ability to add on as you go and the great sound quality. I can contro/streaml everything from my phone or tablet, which makes it incredibly convenient. You can also play music that's on your device or through apps. If you decide to build out your living room piece by piece you can add each item independently.

I have been a Bose person for years. When the BB agent suggested I give SONOS a try I was skeptical at first. Once I listened and compared I was sold! This speaker is so good that I'm going back and purchasing the SONOS sound bar so I can connect SONOS sound throughout my house! Fantastic sound and quality.

Love my Sonos network. I also like that the lesser-expensive Play1 speakers are water-resistant, good for a bathroom, etc.

Unbelievable great sound. I listen to everything from podcasts with predominantly talk, to rock and reggae, to the wife's EDM. It all sounds incredible. The app is sleek and easy ro use. No it ain't cheap. But the fine things in life never are. And this a fine speaker.

This little guy is a beast!!! What ever you wanna use it as a single speaker or paried with the sound bar don't let the size of this guy fool you, it truly delivers 360• sound and the best you can put it in side or out side!! They have a great reception! Sonos is going to take the sound system pretty soon.

I purchased a pair of Play 1s, and they were a deal now that the Sonos 1 has come out. I already have Alexa so didn't feel the need for the One. These are a great - I'll always add Sonos to my house when the price is right. Now time to look for sub and soundbar. Setup and ease of use are top notch.

What an unexpected sound treat! Yes, I too read the reviews and wondered if they could all be true. This little nugget packs a powerful punch! It was easy to set up after downloading the appropriate software to both my phone and computer. The instructions were easy to follow and logical. I was up and running within 5 minutes!! The sound quality for the Sonos PLAY:1 is excellent! I've listened to country, classical, contemporary, religious and pop music ~ all of them sound great. I'm pleased with the size and style of the speaker as well. It boasts clean, sleek, simple lines and a nice compact size. It's unobtrusive and that's a bonus when you have little hands around who like to touch everything. So what's the con? You will want another one! Yep, it's true. I'm already scheming how I can justify another purchase. The price is expensive but the ability to link multiple devices wirelessly in different rooms is extremely appealing. Thank goodness I can rack up my credit card points to help out with my next Sonos purchase.

Works great in the bathroom. Sonos has to be the most versatile sound system around. A battery powered one would be excellent.

If you need a little speaker to hide away and play music on, this is the one! Have this connected to Alexa, and I ask her “play music in the living room” and it starts streaming hi-fi music from Apple Music. The sound quality from this thing is serious! Looking to buy like 20 more.

This is the best sounding $200 speaker i've ever heard honestly. I love how BIG the sound is vs the size of the unit. Its not terribly cumbersome having to use the sonos app to play your music, it does pull everything together and act like a HUB for all your music subscriptions which is nice. I have had to unplug and reboot my speaker several times because my phone wouldn't connect which has me taking off a start for the hassle. Otherwise this would easily be a 5 star device. I am on the fence about how I feel about having to unplug and re-plug it to get it to connect on occasion, still playing that by ear.
