the Sonos play 1 is the most versatile of the Sonos lineup, you can use it for any thing. use it by itself or in a home theater it has kept it's value til this day, it still holds in resell. It's amazing alone and in a larger home theater

I have been so blown out of the water by the incredible sound that comes from this speaker. I have to buy one at a time but so far I have 4 of them in my house and it's SO AWESOME. I have this one in our nursery. I used to have Heos products and they were good but these are really just so much superior.

I'm a big fan of the so Sonos system. We're living in an apartment for several months during relocation, and the Sonos system allowed me to create a high quality, integrated sound system in my office, bedroom and smallish living room. Streaming radio, iTunes, etc. Could not be easier to set up, affordable, great design, terrific sound.

I bought this speaker as an add-on to Sonos speaker system I already had, so there would be good listening in the kitchen instead of trying to listen to the ones in the living room. Since those other speakers were already set up, about the hardest part of installing this one was putting the plug into the electric outlet. That simple!

I have used few WiFi speakers, I would say Sonos Play 1 is the best. It's sounds great with just 1 speakers, when you pair it to stereo "no words" amazing Sound. Mobile app is way better compared to other apps out in market. Go for it, you wouldn't regret the purchase. Now I own four Play 1 speakers:)

These speakers are wonderful!! If you are looking for a great wireless speaker look no further. I have a Bose speaker mini but these are wifi and not Bluetooth: I have one upstairs and one downstairs. You can control them from the free Sonos app and can hook up your playlist, satellite radio, pandora, etc.

For the size this is by far the best sounding speaker I have ever bought. It sits in the living room and sounds just as good no matter what room I walk into. I have a big music library and this speaker is all I need to enjoy quality sound. I can't say enough about this but to sum it up in one word , awsome.

This Sonos Speaker is such a great addition to the system, to be able to get that true surround sound from the rear, or any part of the room. Adding a extra speaker to the system, or another room is so easy to set up via wifi and the Sonos App on any smart phone or I-pad.

Purchased 4 Play 1's to extend Sonos multi-room sound into 2 additional rooms (using Play 5's in main room). As expected they don't have the deep base of the 5's but like the 5's they are extremely clear and flat. Many comments from guests about the quality of the sound. Excellent speakers.

This speaker is the perfect start to any Sonos system. Internal Speaker hardware is identical to newer Sonos Ones, they just have less built in CPU capabilities for newer features like Airplay and no mic for Alexa/Google voice services.

My wife opposes exposed wires for my home sound system. This system is the greatest with a surround sound TV system plus speakers through out the house and patio that run thru my wifi system. No exposed wires (except power). Very easy to setup speakers-my wife can even do it. Happy wife happy life.

After recently moving into a new home I was looking for audio options. Sonos speakers are perfect for me, one in the kitchen and one in the bedroom. They were easy to hook-up and pair with the app. Now I can listen to my iTunes throughout the house, not just from the phone. Great purchase.

Sonos is a great product and concept. I own one speaker, a connect, and a connect amp and love them all. I purchased this speaker for a room which the room turned out to be too big for this speaker. The room is 27' long by 12' wide and this speaker does not have enough to fill the room. The sound quality was good but not as full as what I was looking for. I returned it and got the play 3. I would recommend this speaker to someone depending on the room size. I also read that people would often times buy two of these and use them in stereo. Sonos should offer a package deal with a package price for that.

I have bought two of these so far due to the sound quality and the price. One of the features I have really enjoyed is how the App lets you control each speaker individually in regards to volume control. I will be purchasing more in the near future as I expand my entertainment area!

I purchased 2 Sonos Speakers for my husband for Christmas. He's a huge music buff, and has a big (old fashioned) stereo system. I wanted a wireless speaker system that we could add to. I was amazed how terrific the sound was! I love that we can not only add speakers, but connect with our phones as well.

I have added the Play 1 to a smaller bedrooom to enhance the sound of the existing Play 3 in the larger family room. The addition boosts the sound quality but I would have a hard time using alone in a medium to large sound room. I am highly interested in adding the Play 5 to my home in the near future.

I'm going on my 3rd Play 1 speaker now as they sound great. Its nice to be able to set up various rooms with different songs or sound levels. Its also pretty portable as it is small and easy to move to the back patio when needed for a bbq. I enjoy bbq'ing with NFL play by play via Sirius satellite radio.
