Sure, it's hard to segue from a traditional stereo to something like this, but the sound is great, and you can position them in different rooms and have the whole house blasting (or even put a different song in each room if you wish). Sonos seems to lead the way in this evolution.

Listen ....... This stuff is expensive without questions. But the sound reflects the high price tag. I switched from a normal five speaker surround sound system to the sound bar, 2 play 1s and the sub. The differences are not comparable. Two completely different sports. You definitely pay for it though.

What a great little speaker. It’s true what they say. Once you get one, you’ll want more. Great easy setup. Sound quality is great. Don’t get this confused with the sound of a traditional wired system, but it still sounds great for Wi-Fi.

I am a huge audio/video guy and the sound Sono's puts out is simply astonishing. I have already added another Sonos Play 1 to the room to balance out the sound and couldn't be happier! I can't wait for their new sound bar coming out soon, already on my wish list! Highly recommend anything Sonos!

I have 7 Play1's through out my home. I bought this for my daughter to get her to fall in love with Sonos. I like the play1's because I don't like overpowering a room in one direction. You can create a True Balance of sound by pairing them and adding single Play1's in other rooms.

I purchased 2 of the Sonos Play 1 speakers to go along with my Sonos Playbar and Sonos Sub. These completed my 5.1 surround setup. The sound is awesome for music and as surrounds, I couldn't be happier. Setup was a breeze to add them as surround speakers to my playbar and sub. No complaints.

I absolutely love the Sonos play 1 speaker. I have 3 in my house. It's such an easy and convient way to make your house come alive with the click or tap of a button. I love listening to pandora, my own iTunes playlists imported and SiriusXM, but there are a multitude of options. Highly recommend

Bought a second one of these to go with one we already had at home. For some reason you need two to get the surround sound to work or something like that. We originally only had one so needed to purchase a second. Works well and the sound quality is great, better then the sound bar we used to have.

Took the Sonos home and compared to another big name brand, Sonos beat hands down. Sound is amazing! For the TV and/or stereo you can go in on any tablet, phone or computer and adjust sound to your liking. Also, you wave tablet around the room to adjust the sound to the room.

I purchased the sonos system with no idea what i was getting.... It is awesome and very functional in my business!

Really enjoying the speaker. Great sound, easy to use. Only draw back is can't play T.V. Through speaker which would be nice.

We have a hardwired Sonos speaker system tied into Sonos. We have a large bonus room over the garage that is not wired. It was very easy to tie the new speaker into the rest of the system and operate it via smartphone app. My only wish is that I had bought two speakers due to the size of the room.

This speaker works great alone but by adding additional units provides multi room music. Easy to set up and works better than traditional Bluetooth as it doesn't disconnect or cutout. Since the speaker uses wifi it will need to stay in your houses wifi range and it must be plugged in at all times.

SONOS is a great system. The functionality goes beyond what I expected. Perhaps a little expensive but to me, well worth the price. We wake to music, it plays all day in various rooms, my wife listens to different sources than I do. It is flexible and the international content is amazing. I'm very glad I purchased this.

Easy to use, great sound Portable too! I love it!!

These speakers are so simple to set up. The sound is full and deep. I haven't had the chance to mess around with them, but out of the box these are a joy to have. The hardest part was deciding which rooms (I bought 2) to put them in. But until I mount them, they're easy to move from room to room.

Replaced the whole home theater. Love being able to set surround differently for TV and music AND being able to change the settings using my iPhone as I’m listening! Rich, warm tone, no tinny crap like the old days. I feel like I’m hearing my favorites for the first time again.

Great sound and the setup could not be easier.....

It sounds way better than bose. The teens dance , and clean the house because it makes them happy to hear such great sound quality of music. They just get a burst of happy energy. I guess great sound means you just can't sit still. You have to get up and do something while blasting the music.
