We purchased two Sonos players because we knew friends who had some and told us how they work together and independently. When we learned it wasn't bluetooth we almost changed our minds but decided to get them anyway. Once they arrived we were happy with all the music choices (Sonos specific stations along with local and national radio stations) and it allowed for downloading your own music into the music library, so we were happy with our purchase. However, just a couple of weeks ago there was an update which now allows for streaming Pandora and Spotify through the speakers. Now we are more than happy with our purchase and would recommend these speakers to anyone interested in filling their house with music. The only thing that has caused us some grief was trying to relocate the speakers to a different WiFi spot, we didn't realize that the speakers had to be hardwired into the new network first. The speakers came with the wire but since we didn't realize this we didn't take them with us. Lesson learned.

I really love my Sonos system with the Play:1s as the surround speakers. I have recommended to family and friends.

This is my third and i will probably add more. Have the play 5 and two play 1's. Do not hesitate to buy these. Great sound and no problems with anything. Customer support is fantastic with initial set up and it is super easy. After buying my first I started seeing them everywhere in businesses, too

Have a complete system consisting of bridge, two pairs of Sonos 5 and added a pair of Sonos 1 for the guest room.

The Best Buy in-store sales person did an excellent job demonstrating the Sonos WiFi speaker options available although he did not offer to demo the Bose units on the display shelf right next to the Sonos offerings. I ended up purchasing a pair of the Sonos Play 1 units. These speakers have very good full range sound and impressive output for such a small form factor. You really don't need the separate sub unit if, like me, you don't care for very low bass frequencies. This Sonos product has however proven to be very difficult to set-up with my WiFi network. It constantly drops the WiFi connection, stops playing at random and skips tracks when it resumes playing. An online search reveals this to be a very common Sonos problem. For me this situation occurs most frequently when playing tracks from a network attached storage device - the Sonos recommended way to access and stream your music library. It also pauses for no reason while streaming online services such as Amazon and Pandora. I have tried multiple WiFi setup variations including specifying channels and turning off the 5GHz band on my dual band wireless router. No combination of router settings has solved the problem to this point. I am an engineer and consider myself generally a technically competent person. Thus far Sonos technical support has been unreachable by phone and their wait times are extraordinarily long. I am going to give them one more try to fix the issue then I am returning these not inexpensive speakers back to the store. I will update this review if a solution is found. Fortunately I have a somewhat less flexible alternative - my home came pre-wired for speakers which I never installed but I will now seriously consider going this route in lieu of dealing with this, so far poorly supported, fickle technology.

I purchased Play 5 first and now went and purchased the Play 1 to cover my home. I have great sound throughout my home, can pick any or all of the rooms to play and the sound quality is in my opinion one of the best available on the market

I bought my first Sonos several years ago. This year we added 4 more of these to create surround sound in our great room. The sound is amazing! Even my techie husband and father-in-law were impressed with the sound quality and performance of these little speakers.

We have bought several Play 1 Speakers for rooms outside the main living room so we can hear the TV or music as we wish. Its great that we can link the rooms together or play separate. The sound is great with the single speaker. I have even taken outside on deck when laying out for music. All around mobile and great!

easy set up , great value , move them around rooms

Purchased this Bose bluetooth speaker for use while traveling on vacation. Has nice sound rich sound and battery power lasts long. Like that it remembers which device (iphone, ipad) it connects too. Use it frequently while working outside around the house.

Really easy to set up, and the sound quality is good. I think it is a touch on the pricey side, but that is made up for by the ease of use.

Sono is the best surround sound system I've had. The Sono play Bar and the Sono Sub are so powerful together that it's actually not necessary to add the Play 1 speakers. I still give the play 1 speaker 5 stars because it completes your surround sound system.

The Sonos 1 provides surprisingly full sound especially if you buy a pair for use in the same room. The wireless connection is easy for anyone and I love the free streaming radio channels that are available - connection to my iTunes music library was a breeze!! Recommended!!

Once you have the Sonos App you know what to do. Pairing the speaker is extremely easy and allows you to carry your music throughout your home. This little speaker provides great sound quality and helps enrich the soundbar and sub I also purchased. Highly recommended for today's connected home.

These are well worth the money. I love being able to have music in any room of the house and so easy to use.

Have two Play 1s mounted in my screened porch, love them and ease of Sonos to adjust volume and music across listening zones. I particularly like these for producing a rich sound when at lower volumes. Most speakers need to be played at higher volumes to appreciate nuance and details of songs.

It's amazing how loud and clear these little speakers can get! This is an additional unit to add to 4 other Sonos's (Sonosi?) that we have in the apartment! Really recommend it - and if like me, you don't want a smart speaker spying on you, this is a great option!

Easy to setup, great app to pair multiple speakers enabling music in every room of the House.

I purchased four Sonos Play 1 speakers for my home. I would have given them five stars, but I had some issues connecting them to my Wi-Fi network and had to call customer care twice for help. The technicians were very knowledgeable and helpful. Once the set-up was complete, they sound great. I set up two in a stereo configuration in our game room and two in stereo configuration in our family room. It takes a bit of getting familiar with the app, but now I can stream iTunes, Spotify and Pandora from my iphone.
