love the sound and portability of this speaker -- will buy more for other areas

The Play:1 speakers are wonderful. They are very well built, sound great, and have excellent software that controls multiple speakers/zones simply. A couple of notes: 1) The Play:1 sounds much better when used as a stereo pair as opposed to a single speaker. So get yourself 2 of them! 2) Positioning makes a difference. I experimented with the speakers in different areas of the room and achieved very different results.

Have these throughout my home. Awesome. Great sound great app. Keeps getting better updates.

The Sonos play 1 speaker has a very rich sound. If you want great music in your house and you don't want to spend a fortune installing speakers, this is the way to go. I use my Sonos play system when I'm entertaining to have music in the background and my guests love it. There are other systems out there however, for the money and the quality of sound and the fact that it's super easy to set up, makes it worth it!

I bought this about a month ago because O really enjoy listening to music from my phone. Setup and configuration was a breeze, and the app is a free download. Speaking of the app... the spotify version on the sonos app is so far removed from their actual app, it is borderline frustrating to use. However, the sound quality more than makes up for it. Never would I have thought I could get the clarity PLUS a really good basstone from a small digital speaker. My father, who is an old school audiophile, was stunned by it as well. Will it replace your already wired system? Probably not, but that is why they have all of the other speakers and conversion methods to allow even those to be controlled through your sonos app. I definitely recommend it if you are looking for ease of use, enjoy using apps like Spotify, Pandora, TuneIn, to name a few, and a great feeling of getting what you paid for.

The Play1 is an awesome speaker for streaming. So sleek, killer sound, crazy easy to set up.

I have Sono's in my home so I decided to purchase Sono Play 1 for my daughter and her husband as a Christmas gift. I put the sono app on their phone and within minutes they were listening to music. Now when I call my daughter to ask her what she is doing, she said listening to music. Sono speakers are the best!! I ordered online at Best Buy and it was shipped right away.

The Sonos Play-1 was very easy to set up and operate. I connected it directly to my router using the provided ethernet cable. The app is easy to use and, so far, is very reliable. I can play Spotify, Pandora and my music library directly from my Samsung S7, no problems. I do wish it had some preset buttons on the speaker to quick change stations. You have to use the app on your smart phone or on your (PC) computer to change channels; although it does remember your last channel selection and plays it immediately when you turn the speaker on. Sound quality is very good for a small speaker.. Bass, treble and loudness (room) settings can be controlled through the computer app. All in all, a very nice package.

I have 10 of these speakers, 2 in every major room in the house. It has really changed the way i experience music. I like that I can walk from room to room and it sounds like the music is following me because the volume doesn't change. Custom install speakers are much more of a headache, and always leave a large mess. Sonos takes about 1/10 of the time to install, and in my opinion is a better product.

Recently moved into a home that is mostly constructed with concrete block walls - tough to put in a wired system. So we researched wireless. We started with two speakers in one room and now have speakers all over the house. We did need to add a sub woofer in two rooms which has really helped the sound. It would be nice if Sonos developed an exterior speaker system too!

Very easy setup and integration with my existing system. Excellent sound and very stylish.

Very easy to set up. Have 2 speakers in the Living Room for stereo and 1 in the Dining Room for dinner music. Each room could have different music on at the same time. Sound is terrific when considering it's all WIFI. You can send your CD collection to a flash drive and then load the flash drive into the SONOS system for playback. No CD's to change! I love the system.

I have been very impressed . Sound is at the top end in a large room. Verry easy to set up
