As a current SONOS owner, I chose to add a Play 1 to expand music to my guest bedroom. SONOS is by far the best wifi system on the market In the bedroom, as a stand alone speaker, the Play 1 filled the room with the same quality of sound as I have been experiencing from my other 6 SONOS speakers.

I now have 3 of these speakers. One in my office and 2 for surround sound in my living room. The two in my living room automatically switch to stereo speakers when playing music and only act as surround sound when the TV is on. Incredible sound & clarity. Very happy with everything Sonos in my house...I now have 7 total

This is the fifth Sonos products I've purchased and my second Play 1. I had one of them in my office, which provided good sound, and decided I wanted to create a stereo pair. I bought this and, like all Sonos products, set up was a breeze. I plugged it in, told the software on my phone where it was located, when it saw it was in the same room as another Play 1, it asked if I wanted to create a stereo pair and then went ahead and did so.

i have been looking for a wireless home audio solution for a while and it was a toss up between the Sonos and the Jawbone solution for a while. I was convinced to invest my income tax return on a pair of Sonos speakers and a bridge and haven't looked back since. these are awesome and worth the cash. sound quality is great, the flexibility of having my Computer, tablet, or phone as the controller is wonderful, and having different music spread out through the house is really great as well. My small apartment, I have music playing all the time, and i have music wherever i float around in my place. The Sound Quality is great, and the fact the Sonos One is humidity resistant made ti a perfect fit for the bathroom counter while i get ready in the morning.

I purchased two of these speakers and am glad I did. These now play all audio media in our house from all sources including all music sources, radio and TV. All the media is controlled by our phones, iPads and MacBooks. Exceptional audio quality and a wide range of equalization adjustments. Simple to install and easy to use

Awesome sound and easy setup, very happy with Sonos.

We have a Sonos system in our living room (Sound Bar and Sub-Woofer) and wanted to have the ability to listen to other music in our home office. Not only does this speaker do that but speakers small size belies the superb quality coming from it. We've also extended out system with a second Play I speaker in our master bedroom.

I bought one to complement the Play 5's I have. I plan on buying more over time. These are small and easy to move around. The sound is great and they are easy to use.

I purchased this so that I could easily stream online music throughout my house. It is small, connects easily with Pandora through my laptop in another room. As long as I don't log out of Pandora, I don't even have to start my laptop to play music. Sound quality is good and extremely easy to use.

Our house has turned into a Sonos house. We have 5 speakers currently throughout the house and we are so happy. The sound is awesome, it's easy to use and they look great.

EASY TO INSTALL, EASY TO USE, GREAT SOUND, LOVE SONOS

I always found the price of the larger models a little too much for what it would be used for. So when the Play1 came out I decided to give it a try. It was worth the wait. Allows me to stream my Sirius account as well as countless radio stations and my iTunes library too. All controlled from my iPhone/iPad or computer. There's even a "play" button on the speaker that starts playing whatever the last source was. For such a small footprint the sound is great with fairly deep bass response. Set up literally took about a minute. My only gripe is that the one I put in my detached garage occasionally loses conectivity with the bridge even though it's only located one wall and about 50' in a straight line away. Other than that it's worth the money.

Great speaker in a small package, easy tnstallation

First off...this is much smaller than I thought when looking at pics of it. It's unbelievable the sound quality and volume in this thing. Very easy to use as well. Love it!

I absolutely love this wireless speaker. It has amazing power for such a small unit. It is easily controlled with the Sonos app on your smartphone using Pandora or other music service. You can individually control different speakers in different rooms. Music in the house is wonderful. I use it every day, several times a day.

Pros: We are extremely pleased with the Sonos Play 1. Comes neatly packed and is easy to setup. No problems connecting to wi-fi and pairing with an existing Sonos Play 1. The sound quality is good - from low tones to high being clear without distortion. Blends well into any room. Cons: 1. Would be great if there was a bluetooth option in addition to the wireless connection 2. The app could be improved to accommodate more sources - especially YouTube 3. Sometimes the speaker starts playing by itself - yet to figure out if its an issue with the phone or the app.

I bought a pair to go with my Sonos playbar to complete my 5.1surround. Just like the playbar it was easy to set up. Sounded ok at first so I went in to settings to tweak the adjustments. Sounds perfect now. I am able to get some major surround sound with the addition of these play1s. Only downside is the price. What made the final decision to buy these was I got bonus reward points at that time, else I probably would have waited.

I purchased this item for our desk area. We already have several other Sonos products throughout the home and this was NO disappointment. Even though it is the first generation Play 1, it still sounds amazing and adds to the sound environment. Pros: Easy to setup through the app Affordable and excellent build quality Still stylish for first generation hardware Cons: No voice commands for first gen Play 1 No battery options, must have outlet We still absolutely love our Sonos. As long as you have adequate WiFi throughout the home, you will be able to enjoy great sound for years to come.

This is the third Sonos Play:1 I purchased for my home. Two were purchased from Best Buy as open box items, and they both look brand new. Adding another Sonos speaker to an existing Sonos network is very easy, although some issues were encountered with the initial setup of our first Sonos speaker. I find the Play:1 to be a pleasant sounding little speaker that is unobtrusive and easy to use. The one negative of Sonos is its music file limitation to CD quality music (16/44, although it will also play 16/48). Since Sonos cannot down-sample higher resolution music files, you must manually convert them to 16/44 or 48 to play them on a Sonos speaker.

I've spent a lot of time listening to most of the Sonos product line recently, and for my taste, my favorite speakers are the Play: 1 and Play:5. While the Play: 5 has noticeably more low end and of course is stereo in a single speaker configuration, the Play: 1 has similar clarity in the mid and upper frequencies. Where both speakers really shine though is when you put them in pairs and link them as stereo L + R. The Play: 1's are great for this because they are small enough to be placed almost anywhere and you can really get a nice sound stage happening by spreading them apart (much more than you get from a single Play: 5).
