Sonos products hit that sweet spot of great design, ease-of-use and they do exactly what they say they do. Even the smallest of the Sonos speakers provide great sound and set up is a breeze. The Sonos app is simple, easy to use and has a very easy interface. I purchased two. Speakers and have them set up to provide stereo sound. They sound great and I couldn't be happier.

I purchased two of these to complement my sound bar and woofer. They aren't needed but definitely add to the already amazing system. With these, the true surround happens and you can hear the separation of background noises and main sound. Easy set up connected directly to what I have already. Was able to unplug and move to a different room to hear my music through out the house. Amazing in its own right!

The Play:1's are the second Sonos speaker system I've purchased. I bought two (2) Play:1's for rear speakers in my home theatre set-up. I had already set-up a Playbase and connecting these speakers was super-easy: just be sure to follow the simple set up instructions on the app. I've had the system installed now for over a month and really enjoy it. It seems to produce better surround sound at slightly higher volume levels, but have yet to tweak the system set-up. I wanted a wireless surround sound system and the Play:1's filled that need very well.

I was really surprised at the sound quality of these speakers. Extremely easy setup. Compact and sleek, it puts out awesome sound while being very unobtrusive.

First time using Sonos speakers, very easy to set up and great sound. Love the portability of the speaker and the abilty to add speakers as you build up your system.

The Sonos Play1 has some very good sound in a small package. Much better sound then the Bose systems. Fills a small room with a lot of bass and clean highs. I am going to buy a second one for stereo sound. Very easy set up and streaming of music. Just hit the play/pause button on the top and plays right where it left off. No need to get out you phone or pc to start and stop the tunes.

I am very pleased with the Sonos Play 1. I have other Sonos speakers for home theater and music, so this is going to be used mainly in a 2nd floor 12'x14' room or possibly taken outside on occasion. The sound from the Play 1 fills the 12'x14' room very well, especially when placed in a corner. It has a warm yet clear sound, similar to the other Sonos speakers. Bass is good and does not distort when the volume is turned up pretty far. The Sonos 1 looks and feels high quality too, and is heavier than I expected. No problems with the signal reaching throughout the house. Highly recommended!

I am not a audiophile snob, but I do like my music. Bluetooth is good, but its not this good (wifi connection). This is a product you need to research before you buy because not everyone will like the restrictions of WiFi. But it plays my music great. There is nothing to installing the speaker wherever I want. I can access it wherever I want. I can walk out of the room and it keeps playing. If you want wireless, easy, good sound... do check this out. If you want cheap, bluetooth, or outdoor, look elsewhere. Btw, I do recommend two of these for stereo sound. Very rich

What a great sound system for every room in the house. I bought a sound bar and sub woofer for my new TV and it sounded great and very easy to install. The customer support was amazing as I had a question on connecting my TV through wifi instead of the optical cord supplied. Unfortunately, still need this cord and power cord! After listening to the great sound and wanting to have music throughout the house, patio and garage, I bought the play1 and the new play5. Very satisfied and the connection is literally 3 clicks away. I won't miss fishing speaker wire that's for sure

Play 1 has tremendous sound for a relatively small speaker. This purchase is our third Play 1 and it was placed in a Master Bath. Our prior purchases include Sound Bars (2), Play 5, Play 3, Play 1 (2 used as L/R theater surround) configured for use in various rooms. Controlled by an app on any smartphone or a laptop/desktop. Enjoy!

I got two of these speakers in combination with the Sonos Connect system in order to hook everything up to my existing stereo, wired speakers, and phonograph. These speakers are very easy to set up, and we had no problem placing them in a couple of different areas within our great room where they sound great but are quite inconspicuous. The Sonos system is easy to use from your smartphone, and has a huge selection of online music to select from. With the Connect, I'm also able to play my LP's through these wireless speakers as well. Great solution, highly recommended

I bought this play 1 to put on my balcony whenever I am on it. This is a great little addition to my Sonos system. It is light enough to be portable. It is a nice speaker to enjoy outside and I don't have to worry about it being too loud that my neighbor will hear it. There is no static when I turn it up- only crisp sounds the way I like to listen to music. I was using my Sonos play3 as the portable speakers but this works great. The price I paid was $132.00 . Thank you Best Buy for the open box deal.

Easy to set up & use. Chose this one rather than the newer Sonos One because we were told that the One can’t hook to a group of speakers if we choose to eventually add more speakers to our collection. We now have this one in our living room & the sound is amazing!! Also hooked the speaker up wirelessly with our Echo Dot through the Alexa app. Now we just say ”Alexa play pandora in the living room” and it comes through our Sonos Play:1 rather than the small echo dot speaker. Very happy with the purchase!

The Sonos ecosystem is still the best way to distribute music throughout the house, different music in different rooms, supports local libraries plus most streaming services. The Play:1 is the entry level wireless speaker. Pros: small package, good sound, easy to set up, can be paired Cons: expensive, no line-in, setup requires wired connection

I bought a pair of these to use as stereo and they go well with my Play 5 in the other room. Stereo pairing works really well. Expensive for what they are (so not a full 5 stars) but sound great and they can't be beaten for ease of use. Another quality Sonos product. Just PLEASE give me a Windows modern/universal App!!!

New to Sonos. Got soundbar and two '1s' for rear channels, easy to set up surround. Also use those speakers to play music when TV is off. Setting up another soundbar for tv in living room, and just bought 2 more 'play:1s' for other rooms in the house. I foresee myself getting another setup for the back porch - a single play:1 is powerful enough to have in the kitchen and hear through the back porch sliders to the back of a 2acre property!

I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas because I already have two and just love them! I have a good friend who managed an electronic store for decades and he says Sonos is the best home sound system. The sound is amazing and whole (unlike Bose, which cuts off extremes)... the interface is great, too, and I love how I can listen to my downloaded music, Spotify, Pandora, and what appears to be dozens of other music services. The speaker looks to be made of excellent quality and is super simple to use. I tell everyone about Sonos!

When I went online to review every possible review of Sonos products, I was still hesitant. I bought the large Sonos Soundbar first - it was amazing. Then I purchased the Play 1 Sonos, and it was like having an entire stereo system that I could move to any room in the house. The sound is crisp and clear and I use my computer, iphone, or ipad to wirelessly play my selections. So... I had to get another Play 1, and between the soundbar and the 2 smaller speakers, I can use them as surround sound for movies. There's an endless number of ways I can use this, it can be taken to the garage, patio, rec room, kitchen, bedroom- the music is transportable. It's also so great for just turning my phone on to Pandora - instantly, the room is filled with rich music sound (it's amazing that so much can come out of such a small box). There's only 2 drawbacks: I would love for Sonos to create one that charges so that I don't have to plug and unplug it when I take it outside. Also, Sonos needs to create a Bluetooth option (the entire system is dependent on WiFi). Overall, it's a great product and the best small speaker I've ever owned.

I set this speaker up in just a few moments. Most of the setup time was downloading the free app. The speaker sounds great and the on unit controls are nice when the controlling phone or tablet isn't around. The app is where all the magic happens. Having all of your music and streaming services in one place is very nice. Having it work on my Apple Devices and my family's Android devices made the purchase a no brainer.

The speaker works great! Deep rich sound coupled with a super simple setup and accompanying app to access music, etc. via your phone. The only thing I would warn before you buy is if you are setting up a home theatre know that the home theatre setup with the Sonos sound bar will create a surround sound environment with the speakers being used more or less for ambient/background noise. If you are buying to get louder dialogue then the home theatre setup may disappoint. Pros: Great sound Easy Setup Simple integration with other Sonos speakers Cons: If using with Sonos soundbar it will create a great "surround sound" experience but will not amplify foreground dialogue.
