Used these as part of a full package for TV surround sound and filling the main area of my house with music. The quality of these on their own is great, but as a part of the larger package (sub, playbar, and these) the sound is awesome for music. For surround sound it really adds a cool element to movies, and the wireless makes testing them in different places really easy. Best purchase I made for our new house!

True Natural sound. Excellent Bass. Less connectivity. The sound from this heavy cube was great. Voice was natural. Bass was not interfering with the voice and other music. Excellent split up on different ranges. This is great for music lovers. However this is not portable. Had to be wired to socket for power. Cannot connect to bluetooth. Cannot play the audio from your mobile device to this speaker. All audio should be played from the Sonos mobile app. No Aux In cable. Cannot play from YouTube. Need to install a separate paid app to play audio from You Tube. Need to have Pro Spotify account. You could still play audio files stored on your mac or mobile. This beast did not open to other forms of music. Other than the connectivity and portability features, the sound quality is great and worth a try.

I use this speaker in the bathroom. It's great and a wonderful sound. I listen to everything from rap to classical and the sonos system is great. I keep building my speaker system throughout my house and this is a great wireless system. It's an easy set up and you can assign speakers to each room, play different music in each or have all speakers playing the same.

Yes Sonos may be on the higher end of pricing, but wow does it deliver with high quality sound and ease of use. We have 2 Sonos systems in vacation rental properties to allow for our guests to easily connect and play their music directly from their phones. Many compliments from guests. Regarding surround sound, very pleased with movies and sports and was easy to set up. We have 2 Sonos 1's and the Playbar.

The speakers sound great. Set up was easy. Purchased one to see how it worked and sounded. Was so impressed went and perchased a second one. When hooking up second play:1 set it up to be stereo with the first one. They sound great and work well with Amazon Alexa. Only Con is that you can’t play your own music if internet is down. If your internet is down you can’t use them. I called tech to confirm this.

Great sound by themselves or even better with a pair, Fills the full room with a full sound. The wireless system was very easy to hook up and the system just guides you through the whole process. Speakers can be moved to other rooms and just require a quick setup for best sound.

I got into Sonos because I wanted a speaker in my bathroom. I ended up putting it in the kitchen so I bought another one for the bathroom. That one ended up in my bedroom. Well now I've got a pair that covers a good portion of the house. A Play 5 sure would sound nice in the living room to round it out. Ah yes and certainly there could be some more bass so I'll get the woofer. So what I'm trying to say here is that 1 speaker purchase turned into a whole system essentially and has the room to keep growing. They sound awesome, function very well and I love being able to start things like Pandora and whatever and not need to have a computer open. 5 stars all around on these speakers. Eventually I'll get that bathroom speaker....probably after the soundbar.

I bought 2 Sonos Play 1 Speakers. They were easy to set up and get started. I run the Sonos App primarily off my iPhone and streams really well with Spotify and Amazon Prime. The 2 speakers can fill my living space with quality sound. I am having a bit of trouble running iTunes through the system even though I read elsewhere that it was possible.

The Sonos ecosystem is second to none in quality and ease of use. The Play:1 is a great entry point into the Sonos world and provides great sound from a modest package. When used with online services like Spotify or Pandora, music becomes part of lifestyle without having to do anything more than just plug in the speaker and use the Sonos app to connect the speaker to your wireless network and sign in to your preferred music service.

I bought the Sonos Play 1 for my wife's birthday and liked it so much I bought one for myself. It delivers very good sound quality and is extremely easy to use. I love the portability, I use it on the patio when entertaining or working in the yard or I can put it in the kitchen or bedroom. I sometimes pair the two speakers for great stereo sound. Great choice if you are looking for a convenient, easy to use wireless speaker.

I have been wanting a SONOS product for quite a while but the cost of any of their speakers has been to high for me - until now. Pros: Setup is incredibly easy, sounds great, easily controlled from any device, can be grouped with other speakers to create zones or whole home listening Cons: No auxiliary input jack, cannot be used to output sound from other sources on your device (i.e. video sound from your iPhone's video player)

Perfect choice for my home office

I work from home and was looking for a quality option to play music in my office. I like to play background music while I work but was tired of cheap laptop speakers.. I am by no means an audiophile but I like quality speakers. I have been a Bose Loyalist in the past, but have heard a few friends complain about current equivalents plus there is a significant price difference at the moment... I am blow away. 1st off, set up is amazingly simple. It was probably 5 minutes from opening the box to having great quality music in the room. 2nd the looks, not that it matters too much but this thing looks great and feels like its quality made. I highly suggest this to anyone looking for a clean simple way to listen to music at a quality level. I also love that I will be able to seamlessly grow my set up as needed. Would and will buy more Sonos products.

We shopped for a wireless speaker system that could cover a very large home. I have been waiting for the right time to buy and the After Christmas prices worked for me. We are average listeners of music and the sound quality exceeded our expectations. The flexibility of the Sonus system using the Sonus app is amazing. The only issue that I had was the same as with our laptop computers. We could not reach the farthest rooms in our large house. I purchased a wi-fi extender and set it up. This resolved the issue and we now get wireless connectivity in the whole house for the speakers, laptop, etc. We are enjoying a houseful of music.

I'm a huge fan of Sonos. While there are plenty of streaming platforms, Sonos is the smoothest and connects to all streaming services. Setup is simple and the sound is spectacular for such a small speaker (about half the size of a shoe box). Even streaming music to just the one speaker can fill a small room. However, I primarily use them as surrounds in my 5.1 Sonos setup. I own a Playbase, Sub, and two Play:1's and together they are my 5.1 setup. The Play 1's are perfect additions and really do everything that you'd want from satellites. That said, the idea of using Sonos as a 5.1 has its ups and downs. The ups are that my wife loves the lack of wires and the sound is rich and vibrant. The downs are that its limited to just Dolby (no atmos or DTS) and there can be issues with voice synch.

I had Sonos Play 3 in my living room but ended up selling it because I wanted more stereo separation. But for a bedroom where you will listen to music in background this is great. It can play music loud without distortion. To take maximum advantage on Sonos systems is to have a streaming service as Apple Music, Spotify or Google Play. Consider it does not have an Aux input so everything would be streaming.
