This unit has great sound and now that it has Apple Music can't be beat.

I researched several systems at Bestbuy.com and decided to come in for a test drive. The speaker does a fantastic job. Great bang for the buck. I love it loud and quiet as it always fills the room. Just buy it, you won't be disappointed.

I was looking for a speaker in the the kitchen. This speaker was a great choice. Will cooking you can turn up the Volume and the sound is still clear. The installation was easy to. To only thing I miss with this speaker is a power switch.

The entire Sonos line of speakers is awesome, mine are on all the time!

This speaker isn’t for everyone. To get the most of it you have to want to integrate your home into the Sonos system, and for the price you can easily get better sound from a pair of comparable bookshelf units, however from a convince standpoint Sonos makes playing music from connected sources easy and enjoyable. The Play 5 is Sonos’s highest end all in one solution and it really shows. At 75 percent volume, my 1600 square foot home is easily filled with sound. When listening in the same room it really shines, base is consistently well mixed and it overpowering and mid and high tones come out sharp. The only downside to the speaker aside from its price, is that it needs to be played on the louder side to really shine.

Easy set up and the sound quality from this unit is amazing!

I created a total home experience. I have 2 Play 5, 1 sub, 1 beam and 2 play 1. I have created a system where I can listen to music throughout my home as well as a fantastic home theater system. I will say the app takes a little getting used to but with a little patience I am rewarded with great sound that I can customize to my experience and what I am doing. I can go for full surround with sound so real I feel I am there, to music so crisp like I am at the concert. And when it is quiet time, I can turn all the extras down so I can still watch the morning news without waking the house. I moved on from Bose and have one regret - why I waited so long to upgrade?

Overall, I love Sonos. I have several Sonos Connects in the house that are hooked to receivers that power multiple in wall speakers on the main floor and upstairs. I purchased this to use outside since completing the pre-wire was going to be pretty expensive. This was a plug and play solution but I always have to remember to bring it in before it rains! The speaker is great and plenty of bass even outdoors. The spot I liked to place it oitside had weak Wifi coverage and it wouldn’t always connect. I shut off the AT&T U-verse Wi-Fi and added Google Wi-Fi connection points around the house. The speaker reconnects to the network within seconds after moving around and never drops signal now. The Sonos 5 is a great speaker.

Although the cost is pretty high the quality for my large room is good.

i wasn't sure about the value of the speaker even after being reassured by the salesman. after i got it home and increased the bass i was blown away by the speaker and will definitely get a 2nd speaker to pair it with. very impressive.

These speakers provide a clear clean loud sound. There is no distortion at max volume. They have a line input. I have two paired as stereo. I use the line input on one connected to a computer and it works great.

Initially thought of purchasing a pair of play 1, however after reading the reviews and comparing output, I decided on the play 5.... Best decision. The sound and ease to setup can only be described in 1 word... Awesome!!

Bought this with a play 3. This is a bit heavy for my wife to make it portable, but needed the audio input for playing CDs. Better sound than the play 3 - but if you don't compare side by side the play 3 is pretty darn good.

The new play5 is superior to the previous deeper and clearer sound.

Wow this speaker sounds amazing! I love the stability of being connected to the network as apposed to Bluetooth. Speaking of - I will never buy another Bluetooth speaker after having used this one!

The Sonos Play:5 was set up within minutes - and changing wifi networks was easy. The sound is full with great range. The sound easily fills a large room which was much better than expected given the size.

I've been a Sonos user since 2007. I have never had anything but the best experience with their products and service. Specifically, the Play5 is easy to set up and configure, and it sounds fantastic for it's size and price.
