I bought 2 of these as rear speakers for a game room. Having 2 vs. 1 makes a big difference as it gives you true stereo and better fills a large room with sound. Very easy to setup.

I've been a Sonos user since 2007. I have never had anything but the best experience with their products and service. Specifically, the Play5 is easy to set up and configure, and it sounds fantastic for it's size and price.

As advertised, once set up, easy to use and great sound

Sonos Play 5 has an excellent sound and is easy to use.

I bought one of these and thought it was great UNTIL I bought a 2nd one and now they are phenomenal. I created a stereo pair with the app and my deck has never sounded better. The separation these things get is amazing and provide enough low end to get the job done in a smaller area. I primarily stream SiriusXM with these and with the streaming quality on maximum, the Play:5(s) really shine(s). I’ve listened to the Bose SoundTouch 30 in their ideal conditions at a store and they can’t touch the Play:5. I love these speakers and am I customer for life! I also have a Playbar and SUB in my living room and can’t wait to get Play:1’s to complete the surround. If you can afford the coin, don’t hesitate, do it.

The sound coming from this speaker is amazing. Little pricey but still amazing. Easy connectivity. If you put high quality sound into this speaker you will get out beautiful music. Highly recommended

I was a little reluctant to purchase this speaker because of the price - but I'm very pleased I did. It's easy to use and add on satellite speakers - and the sound is really amazing. The app is also very easy to install and use.

I was looking for a replacement for my Apple Hi-Fi that my wife sold on eBay, not realizing what she was getting rid of. Enter the Sonos Play:5. Amazing quality, sound and depth. The speaker easily fills my room with whatever I decide to push to it (Music or Movies). I also use this speaker by itself as my backyard barbecues entertainment. Neighbors are jealous!!! Best part is this speaker joins the other members of the Sonos family I already own (Soundbar, a pair of Play:1 and the Subwoofer) which I have setup as my surround sound for my living room. Awesome having the capability that at a push of a button my entire house can rock out in sync or separately because of my Sonos system and I didn’t have to run any wires!!!!

These speakers are the real deal. Super easy to set up and the sound is amazing. If you are wondering why you have not been into music lately, its likely because your not hearing it on these speakers. Solid! Solid Solid!

I was surprised at the volume of quality sound this unit produces, but without the additional subwoofer, its simply missing too much of the low end to be enjoyable at anything other than elevator volumes. WITH THE SUB, however... it's crisp, balanced and produces both satisfying tone and volume. Having a party? Need to crank it up? No problem. Listening to Jazz at lower volumes and want definition? No problem. A solid investment with super easy set up!

We bought these for a party on our deck and the sound is incredible. Even better is it’s ease of use. The only drawback is they aren’t weather proof so we have to bring them in at night.

Sonos Play 5 is one of the best speakers out there. Pure fidelity out of the box, the sound of the bass is solid. mid and high . 2 play 5 will rock your living room, the quality of the materials is prime

Already had 2 Sonos 1 speakers. This Sonos 5 is better than both of them. Gets plenty loud for my needs (family room location), unobtrusive and convenient. Had no problems adding it to my Sonos network through their app.

Great sound, installation not to easy. Once setup very intuitive

This speaker is great. Have a 1932 hardwood cape cod, and this speaker sounds fantastic no matter where I am. Bass is low, and the highest pitches can't be beat. Won't go back to listening to music the same again...

Longtime Sonos customer. Easy to setup, easy to use, sounds great, and very happy with it. For my living room I wanted a larger speaker and I have been impressed by the Play:5. Now thinking about buying a 2nd one.

MY HUSBAND BROUGHT THIS HOME TO USE IN BACKYARD. IT IS UNDER A PATIO, AND WHEN NOT IN USE WE COVER WITH A SMALL TOWEL. WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS!! THE EASE OF USE IS INCREDIBLE AND THE SOUND IS AMAZING....EVEN REALLY LOUD.

Always great quality and dependable music from sonos

Instead of using a pair the Play 1 or play 3 speakers to complete my Sonos 5.1 surround, I followed the advice of Jeff at Best Buy and wound up with tremendous results! Pairing the Play 5's with the Playbar, and subwoofer is a bit over the top to some, but to me it was the only option considering how clear and powerful this Sono system sounds. I read everything online about Sonos before my purchase, and am still learning more and more. The Play 5 speaker by itself can fill a large room with clean highs and low midrange sound. You will be very pleasantly surprised when you get it home because playing the Sonos demo at the store is ok, but does it little justice. It sounds so much better in real time with my 4K ultra HD TV, Blu Ray, and especially Apple Music!

The clarity of this speaker is second to none. I've heard parts of songs I've never heard before. Fantastic that you have the ability to place it wherever you like without wires. I may get a second and really go nuts.
