we are able to pickup base sounds that we never heard from the tv speakers.

The Sonos playbase is just what I wanted. I have a 55 inch tv mounted above and went with the playbase over the playbar. Looks and sounds great!

The Sonos play base has been a nice edition to our family room. We purchased this product to replace an old Bose sound base. The quality is similar with the ability to add additional speakers to expand the system as well as the intuitive remote recognition gives the end user added value for easy set up and use with the ability to customize to your needs.

Very versatile and has a great surround sound for entertainment rooms

Very happy with my Sonos Playbase, sounds great in the family room.

I was blown away with the sound when i first listen to it. It sounds like theres another speaker somewhere in the room. The best part is its easy to setup, i love sonos im planning to get a set of rear speakers for surround sound.

I previously had a Denon soundbar. Sonos has far superior clarity & volume of sound. I also love the shape & sleekness of the design. I have one in my family room and my bedroom. Movies are incredible with them.

It sounds great in a surround system if you can get it to work. Would recommend doing some reading if you're looking to invest in 5.1.

Fantastic whole-house sound for tunes and mind-blowing home theatre bass and effects. Easy install, once we did a re-boot (it was an open-box purchase). Slim profile, fit my monitor base perfectly.

Placed this Sonos Playbase in an open kitchen and it sounds amazing. Very easy to setup and integrates with existing equipment. Strongly recommend this product if your in the market for “wireless” speakers.

love the sound it gives but every once in a while it would go mute for a second but very shortly other the that it would be perfect

I love this soundbase... It fits under my TV very nicely. I love the app and that it streams over your network and not through bluetooth. The sound is amazing the built in subwoofer makes it even better definitely worth it

Is it a Home Theater? No. It’s part of a whole Sonos ecosystem that fills the home with rich sound. Be prepared to put out the bucks for the whole experience. So Easy to use. Works well with AirPlay.

We love our Sonos equipment. We listen to way more music now!

I can't tell the difference between the sound of the Playbar vs the Playbase other than the fact that the playbase has much more bass. It's a great home theatre speaker. Only complaint is the lack of hdmi input and DTS decoding.
