I am still finding it difficult to understand how so much sound comes out of this speaker/unit. I have paired it with several play 1s, and have a feeling there may soon be more little play 1s coming to live with us. If i had more money and/or felt like being really silly, I would love to hear what several of these babies sound like in a room together.

It sounds great on its own. Great full sound with deep bass!

Our family was looking for a simple, yet quality means to provide an enhanced movie experience for an open air loft. We just connected this sound base to our 2016 Samsung KS8000 and we could not be more pleased. The base is more than anticipated (in a good way) and the audio is quite crisp.

This is much more than a sound bar. Great bass and it's just beautiful.

Sonos for life. If you are not, my friends and I are just better than you. I sold my 10 year old Bose system after watching The Dark Night with these. I still have have headphones, but to fill a room with sounds from this system . . . I and everyone else in my house deserves the best. That is why I will continue to build using Sonos.

I promised my wife I would make the speaker wires go away and unclutter the area around the TV. I tried other things and later purchased Sonos One and Three speakers. But the speakers were not able to do wireless TV sound because there was not a controller. Finally I purchased the PlayBase. The setup was quite easy because I already had the Sonos speakers set up and I had already downloaded the Sonos app to my phone. During setup I noticed that there is a speech (dialogue) enhancement feature which I enabled. We really like the PlayBase system. Only issue - as stated by other reviewers is that if we hold the TV remote volume down to quickly change the volume, the result is not what you might expect. It may not actually change the volume. To get around that, we change the volume in steps by pressing and releasing the volume button for each increment of change we wish. If the volume gets out of calibration, I take the volume down to zero and start up again until the required volume is selected. An inconvenience but I hope Sonos fixes this. I moved away the previous speakers and the TV area is uncluttered now.

Sleek, stylish, sonically amazing- we love our Sonos Playbase!

We already had the Playbar, Sub and Play1 system in the living room. Adding the Playbase and Play3 to another viewing room was a great addition. When the TV is off we group all the speakers throughout the entire home for fantastic sound. During family events you can travel from room-to-room and not miss any of your favorite tunes.

This speaker is good but not great. There is absence of depth in the lows and you will definitely be needing an active sub to generate the low freq depth. I wish I had tested this before buying and since I was out of town when this product arrived I am stuck with it. I would recommend it to only those who need a good and easy to install wifi streaming speaker. And if you are some one who loves the punch in lows be prepared to invest an additional $700 or so on their sub.

Unfortunately I have a Bravia SONY TV and the sound would not synch with this player. I returned it and got a Sony playbase and even that would not synch. The sound was awesome but because it would not synch, it was like watching bad Japanese TV. I think the fault is in the TV not the player. If you have an older SONY Bravia, be forewarned.

Best sound bar for the money we have had other sound bars and the Sonos Playbase is the best sounding and most practical of all. The TV sits on the Playbase so the sound syncs beautifully with the picture on the screen.

A little pricey but well worth it if you have the space. I was worried about no Bluetooth connectivity, but I don't miss it at all now. Incredible sound! Easy to use app. And the option to expand with other Sonos speakers is a nice addition. The only drawback I've found is the sound skipping on occasion due to the optical connection.
