The sound is very good especialy when viewing movies. When viewing local tv there is a problem with sound and lips. Known problem.

Works great for both normal TV as well as movies with more action. Great enhancement over standard tv speaks and easy to set up. Connects with other Sonos speakers to create whole house sound system. 55” TV on top. For me a sound bar wouldn’t fit so this was the perfect solution.

I love my Sonos system. I just bought a PlayBar and Play base (wanted to decide which one was best for me), a PlaySub, and two Play:1 speakers for surrounds. I don't have a lot of space where it all went, so I love that the pieces don't overpower the room looks-wise. And the sound is surprising very good. I did end up going with the PlayBar instead of the PlayBase. The PlayBase's treble was too much. Tinny isn't quite the right word, but it was a bit piercing. The PlayBar's treble is more natural sounding. I don't have it wall mounted, it just sits on the cabinet below the TV and works just fine that way. The price is worth it, I think. You aren't going to get as good sound as you could get from a true home theater system, but the compromise of not having to have wires running across your room and having a cleaner look is worth it. I also really love the integration with Google Play and Spotify. Apparently it used to have integration with Audible, but it stopped working in 2015. I can find a statement that says Audible and Sonos are committed to getting it working by the end of summer 2018, so hopefully soon it will be back up. All in all, I recommend the pieces, except the PlayBase.

works very well in pair with the sub for a larger room, I would assume the sub is a must if your room is larger. only down side is the wear on your wifi and the fact you have to buy their "boost" product, which in my mind should be included with a set up

We were looking for a soundbar that had it all and was not a wall mount. Checked it out in store and was exactly what we needed. This thing is slim and has exceptional sound with deep lows and great highs. Super pleased with the Sonos Playbase!!

We connected the playbase to our tv and it provides excellent sound for both tv and music. It was easy to connect and link to the sonos app to manage the system. Volume also works with the cable tv remote we use. A snap to install and worth the money.

This speaker system makes minimizing components while not sacrificing sound a practical option. We are very happy with this soundbar option and are looking forward to adding more speakers in that room for a true surround sound experience.

I already had the Sonos soundbar as part to my home theater system. I upgraded to the Playbase and was pleased with my purchase for my viewing pleasures. It added that extra bass and clearity to the front and allowing me to take out some bass from the Sonos sub.

The Sonos is very simple to set up and operate. Sounds great in a very big room.

SONOS is an excellent speaker system. Playbase along with sub and 2 play 5s make for an excellent 5.1 sounds system. Also have Beam, sub and 2 play ones - also excellent. Got the AMP for my outdoor Bose speakers. Also excellent.

Very nice sound - very defined and powerful sounds. You feel like you're in a movie theatre with big sounds, then you listen to music and hear every note! It is the best sound we've ever had! You will like this sound bar! It's worth the money!

I was skeptical about this device at first. I read several reviews and was still not certain. The Sonos sound bar has amazing sound, and rich sound. It is definitely worth the price.

Read a lot about it online prior to purchase. I wanted to make sure the quality before spending this amount of money for a soundbar. Very happy with the product.

Initially it didn't sound like much bass was added, but after adjusting the bass in the Sonos app manually (rather than using the automatic settings) it really sounded great. I listen to rap, rock and country and it sounds amazing for all genres.

I listened to the Sonos sound bar and it sounded ok compared to this. This thing is awesome when I first listened to it I thought the sub was playing but when I realized it wasn't my mind was blown on how good this thing sounds by itself.

Great device with easy set-up and configuration right from your cell phone or computer and the Sonos App. The performance is great too. I continue to add speakers throughout my house for a real audio experience.

This is my 5th Sonos unit so clearly I like Sonos or have a problem (or both). The sound from this is great. It makes the TV experience much more enjoyable and music sounds great. Very expensive but worth it. Also it is bigger than I thought.

this is perfect for my situation. We have SONOS throughout our home and added this to the main TV. It sounds terrific. We will ultimately add a SUB and surround speakers to make it even better.

This is a good product. Is it a $700 product, probably not. Sound is great has some bass but not enough for my needs you still need to spend another $700 on the matching sub to get really good sound. Surround sound is typical of a sound bar and sound is better on the sound base then the wall mount model but still not a 1 piece answer for cinema or music experience.
