Better than the older model

Decent Sound with some issues

I’m content with it for a tv speaker but I returned a pair of play 3 speakers due to all the hassle.

Doesn’t live up to the hype
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I paired the play base along with two play 1’s. I was between thes and the new Bose WiFi system. In the store, this thing sounded amazing. They didn’t have a Bose to compare it to. I’m the home, I never get that true surround sound feeling out of the base like I did at the store, even before installing the play 1’s. After adding the play 1’s, I have been underwhelmed. I have played with the settings, even done the auto tuning multiple times. It just comes across as average, not the grand it cost me.

Great form, ok function
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to use under a 5 k iMac with the digital out to the play base. It functions great and works nicely but the sound is not worth 700. The best part ends up being the digital input. Only the sound bar and play base have one. Otherwise the play 5 is analog and the latency to pump into the system is to much and it cuts out. The sound bar actually sounds better but the form is not ideal. Will probably return sine I cant justify it as a 700 sonos input since the sound is not great. Sonos needs to make a digital input bridge.
