Really didn’t need to get sub. Part of surround with two 1’s. Amazing room filling sound. Balanced and natural sound top to bottom.

Far beyond what I expected. I have now also purchased the sub woofer and two "1"s. The sound is incredible for a wireless system.

This thing is incredible! Much better sound than the sony and Samsung soundbars. The price will keep some consumers from buying a TV speaker so to speak,but this piece is so much more. The music streaming and the TV audio make it well worth the investment and had it up and running in less than 10minutes.

Wanted a better sound in our bedroom for our tv with the versatility of playing music. Matches with the subwoofer, I was surprised how good it was. It’s not as good as the Sonos Soundbar, but it outplays the Sonos Beam. Very happy about this purchase. Easy to set up, too.

Purchased Sonos playbase for my Samsung 62 inch tv. Previously tried other less expensive sound bars. The Sonos playbase is far superior. The setup took less than five minutes with easy onscreen prompts. The sound is incredible over a wide range of programming. I can finally turn off my closed captioning.

Super easy setup and definite upgrade from the tv speakers. Sonos app is awesome for streaming music services as well.

I love my playbase. I was already a Sonos customer by having the play ones. I added this to my home TV and it made the movie watching experience much better. Just a warning, it is a pretty heavy unit. Make sure you also buy the base because that rocks too.

We do not have a media room with all the gadgets. However, this SONOS Playbase really improves the sound throughout the room. More bass. Clear treble sounds. Had fun dancing around the room when setting up this Playbase with our SONOS app (buy one and you'll see what I mean). 55-inch TV fits on top, no problem.

Have been delighted with the great sound from this "sound bar". Especially appreciate the good bass - had thought I might need to add a subwoofer, but the Playbase is more than adequate for our needs. Was simple to set up, and integrates well with our other home speakers.

Fits on space in which a sound bar might not work, and provides great sound without the need of sound he base unit.

We purchased this to enhance a new TV. Set up easy enough and the difference between the audio from just the TV to the Sonos Playbase was obvious. We got a couple of Sonos Ones and the sub to finish out the effect. Overall, extremely pleased with this reasonably price upgrade!

This was my first Sonos purchase and since have several more pieces. I wanted a surround system without all the wiring and after a bit of research decided on the Sonos. I chose the Playbase for the bedroom and Playbar for great room. Amazing sound and the app is great. I’d certainly recommend.

Don’t go any further. Sonos provides the sound quality for all to enjoy unless you can afford Bang and Olsen. Another beautiful design benefit is that it appears as part of the TV base. No appearing wires. For me no need for subwoofer and save money Test it yourself

So far, I've had it for 2 months, the unit has operated stand-alone as speakers for the TV. The sound is full, and manages the full spectrum except for what you would want a sub-woofer to create. It is pricey, so wait for a sale or open box to make the value proposition a bit more palatable.

I owned two Play 1 speakers before adding this Playbase to my system. Zero regrets with the purchase. I get great sound coming out of my LG LED 4K. Even sound from tweeters and base. It has a large footprint on my tv stand but it’s quite thin in profile. Again ZERO regrets with this purchase.

I’m a huge Sonos fan. I know that I can get a better value by using a wired system, but I love the ease of Sonos and there’s something about how their products sound that I really enjoy. Originally I purchased a Beam as my sound bar, but it just wasn’t punchy enough and, while did sound terrific, it just didn’t fill my room the way I hoped. So I exchanged it for the Playbase and I’m glad I did. The Playbase is sleek looking and my LG B8 fits perfectly on top. But it’s the sound that’s most impressive. You can read all about the design on their website, but the bottom line is that the Playbase gives a rich sound with a soundstage that’s both wide and tall. Paired with a couple of Play:1’s movies and video games fill my small living room. It’s true that it’s a bit trebley but you get used to it and it’l actually sounds sharp when blades clash on tv. It’s pricy but if you want a sleek look for your pedestal TV, I recommend.

I finally bought the Sonos system to play online music accounts. Excellent sound for music, tv, bluray.

After much research and many reviews, I decided on Sonos for my one bedroom apartment. This sound bar is fantastic. It has a nice sleek look under my tv. It has great sound quality and is so easy to set up. I have added speakers and again the set up couldn't be easier. Very happy with my purchase.
