It's not bad sounding, it doesn't get overly loud. However, our Samsung TV can match the sound bar, and more often than not, we just use the TV sound. IN addition, it DOES NOT have a remote included. The only way to really control the device is with an app on my phone. Again, kind of a pain. I had high hope for the device, but ultimately am going to replace it with another brand.

An absolute fail with newer TV version. Was hoping for more since its been a long time since my last purchase with Best Buy. Now I am remembering why.

The Sonos we bought works very good and we are enjoying it very much.

Not happy with this product at all, it just didn't have enough volume for me.

Uses optical connection which is fine but most smart speakers nowadays at least have have a usb connection of some sort.

Purchased along with 50" TV for master bedroom. I did not realize at the time that the Ray does not support HDMI, which probably would have made me reconsider. After wasting several hours struggling and failing to get the TV to recognize the optical connection, I made another 45 minute trek to BB and exchanged it for a Bose. Live and learn!

Hard to understand the need for this within the product line...think Sonos has confused customers and installers Beam vs. Arc vs. Ray too much overlapp.

I am sure it was an outstanding item. However, my family and friends could not figure out how to hook up to allow my TV remote control and it did not come with a remote. I even call back to the store and the salesperson tried to give me instructions. So, I had to return it.

Connectivity is the worst I’ve ever seen. You have to either get up and turn up the volume manually or repair your phone with the speaker EVERY time you want to adjust the volume. This means you still have to get up and press the button on the back of the device to pair and enter the internet password each time. Even then it drops.

Added to link our Sun Room TV with my existing Sonos whole house system. Scored a great open box deal so it was a no brainer.

I love sonos and it was good for the value. However I wish the set up to control the speaker with the tv remote was simpler..,

Sound is excellent, there is no way to use Samsung remote to adjust volume. That really makes it not convenient.

These are good only for a regular bedroom not the living room unless you purchase the complete home theater system which I didn't so yes I was displeased.

Fantastic. But It could use more depth. I know it is the bottom of Sonos' line, but I still expect a higher-quality sound.

Sonos has great service to get you started. Called them twice only because I was looking for a little extra handholding.

I returned this item, no remote and didn't like the price after being talked into purchasing it on sale. Replaced it with another brand

I was very excited about my first Sonos purchase. However, the speaker is NOT compatible with all tv remotes. The only way to control the volume is the buttons on top or the app, or I can buy a universal remote. For as much as this speaker costs why doesn’t it come with a simple remote!?!

We have three Sonos in our house. Love that you can control with your phone and transfer the sound to different Sonos devices!

Does not operate as described. Must be programed to work each time tv powers up. Extra speaker operates separately.
