Depending on your model of Samsung TV, the optical output would be located on the back of the TV or on the connection box that is supplied by Samsung. I bought this speaker 30 days ago. it cannot be tuned. I asked the Best Buy geek to tune it, he knew how to connect it but could no properly tune it to my Sony TV. I tried but dialog sounds like it's in a barrel and I'm being overwhelmed with pounding bass.
