This is exactly what I needed for my outdoor TV. The built -in speakers were OK, but the Sonos Ray makes the TV much easier to hear when in the hot tub. It's not weather resistant, so I mounted it under the TV and cover it when we aren't using it.

This is a great soundbar to start with. Or if you have a bedroom you’d like to improve sound on. Won’t regret it

You can DEFINITELY get a better sound for the price-but not better software. Sonos is great for that and honestly has no competition. AirPlay, using them with other Sonos products is the best

The existing TV speaker didn't work, so bought this as a recommendation of a salesperson and in-home consult. The sound quality is great and is as vibrant as a system being run by a receiver, without the surround sound capability, of course.

Bought on open box and everything worked perfectly! It sounds amazing paired with the era 100 speakers as surround!

Sounds good, however, it is a pain to setup and get working with your TV or Apple TV remote. Takes about 8 steps on the TV, in the Sonos App & on the Apple TV. Also, it connects with Optical cable instead of HDMI.

Great Sound an excellent quality I like a lot of this sound bar

Honestly, the overall experience with this soundbar was a joke. Had to spend hours trying to connect the thing, the mobile Sonos app won’t let you update the device (iPhone 15 pro) and bc my MacBook Air can’t update to the newest iOS I had to borrow my roommate’s windows laptop just to update the Ray. Oh, and all of this had to be done while having the soundbar connected via Ethernet. It’s supposed to connect wirelessly, and said it was connected via the app, but when unplugged it wouldn’t connect. Hard-wired, all went well for like a week, then the same issue arose with updating, but it wanted me to completely restart the set-up process like I just bought it. The sound was ok, but for $170 (on sale) you can find better, plus you have to use the app to adjust volume and every time you turn on the tv you have to go to the app and select which “source” you’re listening to just to have the sound on… Seriously, huge pain and not worth it -_-

Would of been better if it had Bluetooth or optical connection other than that sound is perfect

The Ray is a perfect Sonos sound bar for a TV in a modest sized room. It's quality of sound is far better than the TV by itself.

Great sound enhancement to my flat screen TV. And it integrates well with my Sonos sound system. Easy to set up.

I bought it as a very good open box. It worked amazing if I wanted a Bluetooth speaker. The optical connection was broke and should have been something they caught when checking it out. So I had to drive all the way back into town to return it. After they told me it checked out good. If it had worked I would recommend it. Tough review to do really.

Really good sound. Depending on the size of the space, your clarity needs, and financial situation I would go up a step to the next Sonos if i had it to do over.

Its a great device for the price point. Great for on desk speakers for PC use or with a TV in living room
