Problem turning the unit on.

The problem is it turns off each time the TV is turned off but does not turn back on when the TV is again turned back on. Using the remote to turn the unit back has proved to be problematic. We have turned the TV speakers back on rather than fool with this problem.

Was half the size of my Roku Soundbar. Interface was on point as with all SONOS SKU’s. Have a 75” Samsung display and speaker just didn’t fit the bill. Would have bought the BEAM if I would have researched prior to purchasing.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After pausing a dvd, streaming channel or tv, the volume dies off and you have to increase the volume to nearly 100. You can sometimes do sort of a reset if you decrease back to zero or you may have to inplug the unit. Sometimes it works fine it's one of those stupid intermittent problems. I wish I had bought something else. Also, when I try to go to my Sonos phone app, it doesn't recognize my Ray and I have to reset the app. Won't recommend to anyone. When it does work the sound is great.

Best Buy (Conner I think) was great when I returned it to help me identify the Yamaha sound bar. The sound is similar and the convenience of volume control on the remote was worth the trouble.

Posted .We're very sorry about the confusion. You can use the existing remote you're already using for the tv. It can be set up in the app. We ask you to press volume +, volume - and mute three times to learn your remote. Then you can just use the IR remote your tv came with. If your remote is bluetooth, you can simply turn the function off on your tv to force the remote to IR and work with Sonos. No additional remote needed either way. :)

A big improvement over the tinny TV speakers and doubles as a speaker for streaming music. Nice that it can be controlled along with my other Sonos speakers.

This is not Bluetooth, it's WiFi. Setup was a pain and you're forced to use their APP. After first time using and setting up with our home WiFi, the sound is decent. You have to use the APP to control the sound volume (which is inane because if you are working out, you need one remote control for the TV, your phone APP for the sound). Not sure why you can't control the sound volume using the TV remote if you set up with that TV. The last few times we wanted to use, you have to manually turn on and manually use the sound bar to control the volume because the stupid APP would not connect to the sound bar. It is incredibly frustrating for the high price and headache because it's not truly streamlined for using on a consistent basis.
