Great sound and easy to setup. Movies and streaming music sounds amazing

The Sonos Ray is a solid soundbar that packs great sound into a compact size and an affordable price. It’s perfect for small spaces or anyone looking to upgrade their TV audio without breaking the bank. The sound quality is impressive for its size, especially when it comes to dialogue clarity and balanced audio. However, it does have one drawback—it's not compatible with Hey Google or Alexa, so you can’t control it using voice commands. If smart assistant integration is a must-have for you, this might be a dealbreaker. But if you’re just looking for a simple, good-quality soundbar, the Sonos Ray is a great choice for the price.

I have been a big Sonos fan for years. The Sonos system allows you to control your whole house music from your phone. It easily coordinates which sources are activated with individual volume control. The Ray All-In One Soundbar allowed me to enhance the music in my den from both streaming sound and music on the TV. Could not be happier.

I got this soundbar for my apartment and it sounded AMAZING just from playing music. It does not have bluetooth (I shouldve researched better before ordering) so I had to return it because of that BUT it does have airplay. I ordered a Bose soundbar that had bluetooth and could noticeably tell the difference between the sound quality of the Sonos. Im not even a person who is an expert or usually cares about that stuff….but the Sonos sound quality was so much better (and same price because of Black Friday). Now that I have a TV, (and bluetooth is no longer a necessity) I needed to swap them ASAP! I highly recommend this soundbar, the app is great. The ability to adjust the bass and treble is great. Its a bummer this one doesnt have bluetooth, but airplay works just fine.

The sound is very good. Easy setup and integration with Apple Music. I received this a day before my tv and couldn’t wait to get everything connected. It connected well through the optic connection and sounds great. BUT IT DOESN'T WORK WITH MY REMOTE!!! I don’t have a IR remote. Won’t work. I grabbed a old IR remote and that controls the volume. So I’m back to the two remote challenge. I’ll put up with it because I love how it sounds.

The sound quality of this is great. It's a perfect size and really hits above it's weight class, so to speak. But I just can't understand why this is still sold with the specs it has. It's a dinosaur, technologically speaking. Connecting via digital optical, although precise in sound quality transmission, makes it impossible to control volume levels unless you have an IR based remote for your TV with line of sight. I returned mine, because that is non-negotiable. Having a BT remote for my tv and streaming boxes meant that I could not raise and lower volume without using the app or physically touching the button on the bar. The only application that I could see this being great for is a computer soundbar. I am a Sonos fan. I have the Arc soundbar with the mini-sub, and 2 Era 100's as rear. I am immersed in whatever I am watching, and will scream from the mountain-top that this is a worthwhile investment for your entertainment needs. But...not the Ray. It's a bummer, i want to like it. But I just cant. Grateful that Best Buy made the return so easy, and even the employee who handled my return was baffled that such a high profile device was lacking so much basic functionality.

Very good sound quality soundbar, works well with Sonos app, much more than just a soundbar

This is the coolest system. I purchased two pieces, the sound quality is amazing, easy to hook up and the app is user friendly. My only regret is not getting the bigger soundbar. I will definitely be buying another speaker to add to my collection.

So far so good. I moved the Beam out of our bedroom and into a living room with more traffic (and for wife & daughter who were hoping to have Alexa in said living room). In the Beam's absence, the Ray went up in no time...easy as pie to unpack, plug in, and get going. Because we have several other Sonos products around the house, the Ray was recognized immediately, and as expected linked right into my S2 app. The optical cord-only option on the Ray is just fine - certainly wasn't a deal breaker for me not having an HDMI input on the back. I wouldn't imagine most folks buying the Ray and using it with a 75", 77", 85" etc. size TV. It's great for small rooms, a bedroom, an office or den, or could easily be loud enough for a workout room on someone's home. It gets plenty loud, and there's enough adequate bass here that I am going to forego adding the new Sonos mini-sub to this. This is a great, no frills, entry-level soundbar from Sonos and I'm really glad they brought this into their offering. I'd buy again, and like all other Sonos equipment I've owned, would recommend to family and friends.

Easy to set up! The sound is great! I would recommend!

I'm really impressed with the crystal-clear dialogue and excellent sound stage that the Ray provides for its compact size, making it a perfect, simple upgrade for enhancing TV watching in a smaller room. My main frustration, however, is the lack of Dolby Atmos support and the limited connectivity, as the reliance on optical audio means I often sacrifice modern features that comparable soundbars offer.

For my use it’s great. I use it via the optical cable for my desktop computer. I don’t have space for two desktop speakers and this fit right under my monitor. For its size, the sound is great but I wouldn’t recommend it for an entertainment system. It was amazing but you get what you pay for being only optical and not much freedom with interconnectivity between Sonos devices. Absolutely amazing if you just need the soundbar!

Nice styling, good quality sound. Pretty easy to set up.

So far no complaints. App is easy to us and speaker works great for adding some sound to your tv.

Good sound , the optical cord was defective but I had one and it works fine . Perfect size for the entertainment center and works with my other Sonos speaker

This sound bar is excellent, compared to other stuff at a similar price range I like the sound more, it fills a room pretty well (we have it in a living room with big vaulted ceilings) and had a pretty good balance, like it’s not going to make the floors rumble with its bass but everything is present. This thing works flawlessly though, I never have an issue with airplay and it’s always super quick and easy to play something. It’s far less cumbersome than other sound bars, the so is is just ready to play always. I will say I bought a Sonos one first but there was definitely something wrong with that particular unit because it kept disconnecting, I returned it and got thr ray and it’s been fantastic. I bought a roam afterwards as well and I have that in my other room and they always play in sync. I’m definitely sold on the sonos system

Great product easy setup and easy to use. The sound quality is excellent and just two wires. MUST BE USED WITH A TV THAT HAS DIGITAL OPTICAL. Mine does so I’m great.
