I was able to buy it as an “open box” which made the price a little more reasonable. Sonos products are extremely expensive for what you get but I do like them. They are just way over priced in general. Thankful that Best Buy had and open box that saved me $70 and it was in perfect shape.

Great Way to Go, With Some Risk

You do have to purchase the sub, and the rears to get the full effect. I have committed to covering my entire house with sonos and have found the Ultra to be the best way to go. I just pray the company never folds and all my speakers become bricks.

The bar also looks beautiful and is small enough to fit in compact spaces. I returned mine for the beam gen 2 after doing a bit more research, but for this price if you arent wanting to drop the $500, you cant beat it.

Size was perfect for my living room with a 55” tv. Very ease set up. Only downside is it does not come with a remote. Is operated bi IR only. Directv remote does not connect to it. You have to use the phone app for sound control.

Good sound but not meant for bigger screen tv

Bought attachment for the tv that was suggested when you buy it, but did not fit an 85" tv so that was annoying. No remote control comes with it and you have to use your phone to engage the Sonos. You cannot pair it with Xfinity remote either which is also annoying.

Excellent Soundbar for Smaller Space.

Most soundbars are too long for my console stand. The Sonos Ray fits perfectly in front of my TV. This is the perfect size soundbar for a smaller space. Sound quality is amazing as well. Two drawbacks, no HDMI and the TV remote only controls the soundbar when the TV is off. Not a deal breaker just minor annoyances. I am thinking about picking up a pair of Sonos One SLs or Era 100s when there is a sale.

I needed a sound bar for my daughters TV and I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. I was familiar with the other Sonos offerings but not this one as it is new. I was very pleased with the sound quality and ease of installation. In fact, I later paired it with a Sonos sub and a couple of extra Play:1's to form a home theatre setup. Very pleased. Just know, no HDMI ARC input like the Beam, only optical digital. But not a deal breaker for me.

However, the Sonos Ray has got to be the best sound ever from a soundbar for me - cryystal clear dialouge and really nice full effects sound even without a sub or the Sonos surrounds - highly impressed! I do not use the app as it was not near as easy as hooking up the actual soundbar.
