Good sound for the size. Lacks some features.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent sound bar paired with the sub mini. Only lacking an HDMI connection. Optical is just ok and hard to work with my Samsung frame tv. Beam is worth the extra cost IMO.

Great Little Soundbar
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great for the price. There is no HDMI hookup but the digital optical works well. Sound is clear and has great base. It’s loud for its size and the voice boost option is a great feature for tv shows. Its well worth the money.

Good for certain situations
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound stage is not very big but that’s to be expected from a sound bar like this. Very clear and great volume. No remote which sucks for volume control

Great once it gets working
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound but hard to connect. Took over an hour to get the product to work and only worked after several resets and a call to customer service. Once it started working this little speaker sounds amazing.

Clear and Crisp Sound
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Clear and crisp sound that is a great addition to my bedroom system. Even though the bass is decent, I plan on pairing it with the Sonos Sub Mini. Would definitely purchase this again.

Best speaker in this size.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound for the smaller size. Needed something smaller for a bedroom TV and this speaker fits the bill great for that. Only downfall is the bass box to go with this speaker is silly expensive.

Sonos - Ray Soundbar - a good choice
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m using this in a smaller room and am very pleased with the quality of the sound. It lost a star just because the installation process was not straightforward. It took a number of restarts with the app to get it connected. However, once that was done the unit performs well. I wouldn’t choose it for a large room, but for some folks it may do well enough in a large room.

Great sound, bad soundbar
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s great if you want sound and the cheapest option Sonos has, but the lack of Arc or E-Arc makes it borderline unusable as a soundbar.

Only Soundbar I would Buy!
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not a soundbar guy - much prefer the receiver, separate speaker set up. However, the Sonos Ray has got to be the best sound ever from a soundbar for me - cryystal clear dialouge and really nice full effects sound even without a sub or the Sonos surrounds - highly impressed! I do not use the app as it was not near as easy as hooking up the actual soundbar.

Stunning sound
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good sound and bass for a product thats considered entry level. Pairs really well with other sonos devices for an easy surround sound system without wires crossing the room all over.

Sonos Ray Needs Improvement
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a fan of Sonos products it pains me to write this review. When I compare this to a similarly priced Sonos One, the Sonos Ray leaves much to be desired. The sound is just weaker in every regard despite having a larger footprint. The sound is also very directional and not enveloping. If you sit off to the side you are not going to have the most pleasant experience. I do understand the attractive entry point, but no HDMI connectivity in 2022 is unacceptable and too much of a cost cutting move. Sonos Ray gains one star for me because of the easy set up and integration to the Sonos network. A remote would have been nice as the system does not have arc or earc but not the biggest deal for tech savvy people. If you do not like the idea of using your smartphone or ipad to control volume then I'd stay away. If you plan on using this for music, I'd buy one Sonos One to begin with and then pick up another Sonos One to get full stereo experience. If you plan on using this for movies and TV - spend the extra cash and buy the Beam Gen 2, it is worthy upgrade without being as expensive as the top tier Arc version. Sadly the Sonos Ray ended up being a return for me which is a shame.

Posted .Thank you for the review. We will take this into consideration. Worth noting, you can use the IR remote your tv came with. No need to use the app to control volume or include another remote when you have one already :) - That being said, we're sorry you don't love your Sonos Ray.
