    Wouldn’t pair with TV. Tried multiple times troubleshooting the issue. Eventually just returned it. Read that others had this issue too. Was a Black Friday deal that wasn’t much of a deal.

    Uses optical connection which is fine but most smart speakers nowadays at least have have a usb connection of some sort.

    Purchased along with 50" TV for master bedroom. I did not realize at the time that the Ray does not support HDMI, which probably would have made me reconsider. After wasting several hours struggling and failing to get the TV to recognize the optical connection, I made another 45 minute trek to BB and exchanged it for a Bose. Live and learn!

    I'm not a big fan of these speakers, but since it's a sonos device and my entire house is sonos, I generally buy them when they are on discount or mark down. I would never pay retail for them.

    I love sonos and it was good for the value. However I wish the set up to control the speaker with the tv remote was simpler..,

    Added to link our Sun Room TV with my existing Sonos whole house system. Scored a great open box deal so it was a no brainer.

    Sonos Ray

    We have had Sonos system for 10 years. We purchased the Ray recently and it does not have the sound quality we expect from Sonos. My Sonos 1 speakers have much better sound. We returned the Ray and purchased the Beam Gen 2. The Beam is far superior to the Ray. We do not recommend the Ray.

    Fantastic. But It could use more depth. I know it is the bottom of Sonos' line, but I still expect a higher-quality sound.

    Hard to understand the need for this within the product line...think Sonos has confused customers and installers Beam vs. Arc vs. Ray too much overlapp.

    Would have been great but you have to have the app to control it. Doesn't come with a remote. The next price point is crazy but comes with a remote.

    Connectivity is the worst I’ve ever seen. You have to either get up and turn up the volume manually or repair your phone with the speaker EVERY time you want to adjust the volume. This means you still have to get up and press the button on the back of the device to pair and enter the internet password each time. Even then it drops.

    Sonos has great service to get you started. Called them twice only because I was looking for a little extra handholding.
