I have the soundbar for my TV and get great sound out of it however every once in a while with loud kids dogs barking whatever it's nice to be able to just turn on my portable Sonos speaker next to my chair so that I can hear what's going on the TV just a little bit better. Another added advantage is it pairs to my phone very easily so I can play it while in the garage working or in the shop working on projects.

Its got powerful beats and sound is top notch. Plus the fact that it's weather proof and drop proof is fantastic.

Great for a small area watching or listening to a radio show - not intended for larger gatherings. Connectivity is pretty reliable and doesn't cut out - works well with my MePhone

The Roam 2 portable speaker is amazing! It sounds so much bigger than it physically is, and it connects without a flaw to my iPhone, turntable, computer, etc. Using the Sonos app, I can connect multiple Sonos speakers (Roams, soundbars, etc.) into one giant, great-sounding sound system. Total game changer! I suffered for a few years using some Apple HomePod minis, which sounded ok, but wouldn't hold a connection worth a darn. Sonos totally blows those out of the water! If you're looking for a compact portable speaker, buy the Sonos Roam 2--you won't be sorry!

Perfect as a shower speaker and for a small group of people. Can’t handle max volume because the sound seems to lose its quality. Highest it can go comfortably is maybe 85%. Would love if it can be a little bigger and get almost as loud as the JBL Charge 5 but the voice/smart/wireless charging features make it worth it.

The speaker itself is great, descent battery life and great Sonos sound. But I was unable to add this to my older system. It is not compatible with the Sonos S1 controller and my older speakers are not compatible with the new app.

Roam 2 fits the need nicely. Great sound for small speakers. Purchased 3rd party brackets to install on the back deck wall so it's easy to take in even though they are waterproof. A little pricey but caught them on Black Friday sale. Definitely would recommend.
