Extremely disappointed... Had I read the reviews on this I would not have purchased it. "When" it is playing it sounds absolutely amazing! Problem is, is that it skips or looses connection every few minutes (if that). REALLY annoying and it appears that many others have the same exact complaint... I LOVE the rest of my Sonos system and have nothing but praise for my dual sub, 2 rear speakers & the Arc bar, they are absolutely outstanding & amazing, especially to all be wireless! I really hope that someone reading this cares enough to reach out to me and tell me how to fix the roam speaker, as of right now it is of no use to me, just have not had the time to return it. Please help us Sonos??

Still learning what this can do. Bought it instead of a second Move speaker to save money.

My only complaint is how long the charging takes. I like everything else about it so far.

This speaker started a fast blaring machine gun sound that went on for hours. Could not turn off the speaker or the extremely annoying VERY LOUD noise. Will be returning this and not getting another one.

not Used like new. there were cuffs and it marks of being heavily used. The description did not match the conditions of the items and it was all missing accessories. When received it was basically a brown box with a speaker

Sonos roam has a major issue. The battery life! 10hours is a joke and the life cycle of the sealed battery is less than a year. Sonos is aware and your buying a 190$ disposable speaker. Ive called sonos 3 times on the sleaker and theyre sorry as the unit is 5 months past its 1 year warranty. I didnt expect the unit to stop fully chargingnduento a defecrive charging system / non replaceable battery. They offer a 30% credit to send your defective unit in and purchase a new one. Seemed kind of like a purposeful design to create more revenue. Steer clear of the sonos roam if you want longevity.

Terribly difficult to set up, They’re instructions require you to jump through a bunch of hoops, they’re executed poorly, and it’s like they’re stuck in the 90s and have never heard of UX.

Hand held and portable. It's got the weight of big sound but light enough to be moved around the house with just one hand.

This is great. Love sonos. A nice light portable option. Battery lasts a decent time as well. Use it all the time inside and outside. A great addition to the collection.

Returned for the Sonos move. Bluetooth kept disconnecting

The Sonos roam is a nice little portable speaker. This is my first Sonos product and it is pretty nice that it can play music from Bluetooth, Airplay 2, and using the Sonos app (which connects to various music services). The good: The sound quality of this speaker is very good for the size and price range. While it won't compare to my home theater speakers, it does sound better than a Bluetooth Bose speaker I purchased a few years ago. While I didn't dunk the speaker in the pool to test the water proofing, i did place the speaker by my pool and it did get splashed on. The speaker had no issues getting wet. The bad: Hopefully this gets fixed in a firmware update, but powering off the device does not seam to really power it off, but instead goes into a standby mode and wakes up every so often. I noticed that the speaker would randomly start showing the power on light, even though I turned it off. This has led to the battery depleting in a few days, even with no usage. What's missing: I really wish Sonos would create an apple watch app. When I was using the speaker in the pool, it would have been really nice to be able to control it using my watch. I also wish they supported Google Casting. My primary music app is Youtube Music and YTM really puts an emphasis on casting. Overall it is a nice speaker. I hope Sonos can address some of my concerns in the future, but for now make sure to charge it up every time you plan to use it.

The only Sonos device I will give an average rating. The battery life is terrible on this unit. I even did their software update which should have helped the battery life and it didn't. I'd not recommend this product.

its ok when it works, but it was hard setting it up

Originally bought this because i lost my jbl speaker. Its a okay speaker. Sounds isnt great. Works well but like many new speakers it needs an app. Also needs internet connection.

This thing sucks!!! I have 2 sonos ones and they are amazing. I wanted to get this one to take outside so I could hear the music inside and out. It pretty much won't charge. It's been plugged in for a straight week and only made it from 19% to 62%. You have to keep reconnecting it. It says that it's playing but it's not. I read a lot of other reviews with battery problems as well. They only give you a 2 week return period which isn't long enough to realize something doesn't work right. I would have returned it and got a different Sonos speaker.

This speaker is the best small wireless speaker out there! The ability to play directly off wi-fi without a device is icing on the cake!

Bought the Roam to go with other Sonos products. Works great. One note...make sure you charge it up before trying to sync with your other Sonos products.

We bought this to use as a Bluetooth portable speaker on vacations, at the beach, pool, etc. They claimed it was easy to set up - not true. We could not get the first one to work so we went to Best Buy and their representative couldn't do it either. He decided it was faulty merchandise and replaced the original with a new one. When that came it also wasn't able to be set up, so back to Best Buy and the Geek Squad. End result - same inability to set up. The rep decided it was meant to be used in a network of other Sonos speakers and recommended we buy a different brand. We bought a JBL portable Bluetooth and it was easy to set up and has great sound. So we're very satisfied with JBL, but would not recommend buying a Sonos portable unless you already have a Sonos system in place. Disappointing, but ended well.
