I have had SO MANY ISSUES with connectivity as well as the speaker just 'giving up' and turning off. I finally got through to the warranty department who advised they would replace it.

Battery needs charging every other day from maybe 1-3 hours usage a day. Wonky app. My old budget outdoor speaker seemed to perform the same, but with a longer battery life.

Posted .Hi, and thank you for taking the time to write a review. We're very sorry for your issues with Roam. We would like to mention that we updated Roam not too long ago to give you more control over the battery life. The reason for the perceived lack of batter life is that unless you hold the power button down for 5 seconds, the Roam goes to sleep and wakes up when the app is interacted with. This is for "faster time to music" but if you don't notice it, it can drain your battery without you knowing it. In the room settings you can change this setting via a toggle button that will turn Roam off, thus not depleting battery life unnoticed! We hope this helps.

Posted .Hi, and thank you for this review. We’re sorry you’re experiencing issues with your batter. Here are some tips that can help. Hold the power button down for 3 seconds to put in bluetooth pairing, and 5 seconds to shut off completely when you’re not using it. Roam goes into standby mode by default after a while of inactivity and when the app is interacted with, it turns back on many times without you knowing. The idea of this is for you to listen to music faster by not having to get up to turn it back on, downside is that it drains the battery without you realizing it. For this reason, we updated Roam to have a battery save option which will turn the Roam off completely when inactive for a few minutes. Also make sure that the charging brick you are using is at least 7.5w and ideally 10w. We hope this helps with your Roam battery life and are happy to help further if needed at sonos.com/support

Posted .Hi, and thank you for taking the time to write a review. Roam by default goes into sleep mode which it can easily be woken up from for faster time to music. If you want to make sure Roam is turned completely off, hold the button on the back down for 5 seconds. This will make sure that Roam is off and ready to be used next time you're ready to listen to some tunes.
