Even when the Roam is off the power drains. I've never once gone to use it and found it charged. When I plug it in to charge it takes a pretty long time to have enough charge to turn on, so long that I usually give up or find something else to use.

Posted .We're very sorry you're having a poor experience with Roam. What may help is under the room settings you can turn on batter save mode. Roam falls asleep after a few minutes of inactivity and powers on when the app is interacted with. Battery save mode on, turns Roam off completely instead of going into "sleep" mode. Also, hold the power button down for 5 seconds if you want to completely shut it off manually. We hope this helps!

I own ~$30k in Sonos products (Sonos Moves, Sonos Beams, Sonos Arc, Sonos Subs, Sonos Ones, and the list goes on.) Every other Sonos product I have purchased has met or exceeded my expectations. The Sonos Roam, however, did not. The sound quality is not what you would typically expect out of a Sonos product. Granted, this product is smaller than all of the rest of them. But, I did a side by side comparison (naked ear only no measurement devices) to an even smaller Altec Lansing which at the time of this review costs $19.99 ( https://www.bestbuy.com/site/altec-lansing-hydramini-everything-proof-speaker-black/6460688.p?skuId=6460688 ) as compared to the $179.99 price point on the Sonos product. The results? I could not tell the difference in sound quality. I will be keeping the Sonos Roam because, well, I've gotta have them all. BUT - this one will likely sit and not be used, or be used by my children instead of me.

Way overpriced for what you get

Does not come with a charger, standard cell phone charger does not work either-not enough amps. Sound is pretty good. Instructions say just download the app and follow instructions, but do not tell you which app (of many) to download. Take a pass on this product.
