    Sonos makes really great wifi streaming systems. This speaks doesn't disappoint on that aspect But streaming via Bluetooth take a quick adjustment and bam. Really good on Bluetooth and plays from any media you play from your device. Battery life is good. But will get warm if playing at higher volume. You can definitely use while qi wireless charging also.

    Doesn’t work… Can’t charge & will not reset Would always lose wifi connection Love my five other Sonos products but very disappointed with the Roam

    the sound was flat and distorted when turning volume up loader. i have the move and that speaker is larger but well worth the extra money for depth of sound.

    Way to difficult to set up. Spent a couple hours and could not connect. Exchange for a different brand and was up and listening to music in minutes.

    Let me just say that the sound output from this is great, and sounds good, but that's really it. Bluetooth speakers have been around for what seems like forever now. I have a few Sony ones that work fine still. I picked this up because it touts it works with Amazon Alexa and Google Home. I don't have Alexa but I do have a Google home setup and was excited to add this to it. Well, I couldn't have been more disappointed. It comes in a nice little package, and includes setup instructions which are easy to follow. I immediately turned it on, and connected to my google home network. No issues there. Played some music through Pandora to it, and like I said it sounds wonderful. Now what I don't like, and I'm not sure if this is just user error, is even when I would hit the power off button and it would chirp to make the sound its off, it would ALWAYS turn back on by itself. And I get that as an assistant for google home, it probably needs to be on as my other devices are always on, but they are also plugged in and not draining battery the whole time. It ended up getting to a point where the roam was sitting there flashing a repeated red light, which I figured was "low battery", but ended up being some of system error warning. Tried to use the included charger to charge it, wouldn't work. Tried to use a wireless charging pad I have that says its compatible, and wouldn't work. All the time thinking it was a low battery indicator. Had to do some online research to find out the flashing light indicator combo was indeed some sort of system error, and not a low battery indicator. Ended up having to hard reset the roam, and once I did that, it was fine. But let me tell you how stressful this time period was. Once it was reset, I used the included charger to charge the roam back up to 100%. But still even once that's done, it would not turn off and would still constantly turn on on it's own. I removed it as a google assistant from my google network to see if that would help, and it still would just turn on randomly on its own. Gave up after that. It's not worth it for the frustration. Just an odd device. Design is nice, but as a google assistant it left much to be desired. But that's just the thing, since they actually make better designated google assistant devices, this isn't really needed. Buy yourself a cheaper Bluetooth speaker, and you will be good to go. If you want a google assistant, get a google home hub or google mini that has a powered wired connection. Don't buy this.

    This unit would not connect to either of our phones or the TV we intended to use it with so we returned it. Maybe we'll buy another, maybe not.

    I couldn’t connect to the new Sonos app as I have the old Sonos app w several speakers therefore I couldn’t even connect to Bluetooth. returned.

    Roam is connected to Ipad. No sound. App sees the beam but not the roam. Other buyers had same issue but i ignored them. Stupid me

      Thanks for your review! The Roam only needs to be connected to wifi/our app when you first set it up, as it needs to download the latest firmware updates. Once it downloads those updates, you can use it on bluetooth only if you'd like. john.milton

    Great product when it works. And when it malfunctions it’s impossible to reset using the power button. It’s going back.

    Good device but major battery issues

    This was a great product that I used in my bathroom and took with me while traveling. However, after three years of mostly light use, the battery bricked and it is no longer useable. I have tried every online tip to get it to work but to no avail. This is not uncommon for this device.
