I purchased this because I have several other Sonos products, which perform well. The Roam is a welcome addition to my outdoor adventures. The charge lasts for a long afternoon, the sound is good. I wish the volume would go up a bit more than it does, but it is perfect for quiet music at the beach. The only small complaint, when packed away the on switch seems easy to turn on, so when I go to use the speaker the batteries are drained. I recommend the speaker.

Sounds great, but it does not hold a charge very well. I fully charged it and turned it off thinking that would preserve the battery, but it was dead when I tried to use it less than a week later. It also will not turn on immediately if it's dead. In fact, it took well over an hour before it would turn on. That is by far the most frustrating part of this product. It should turn on and work within a minute or two if it's plugged in regardless of how low the battery is.

Such a clean, crisp sounding speaker, & so small! I have this hooked up via Bluetooth to my MacBook & serves as a desk speaker. It’s amazing! The Sonos app is easy to use as well.

The speaker is significantly smaller than what you would expect for the price. I was shocked when I opened the box and saw how small it was. Having said that it is still very high quality speaker as I have come to expect from all Sonos products.

The Roam is disappointing for a Sonos. I have the Arc, Sub and ones and they sound great. The roam does not punch the highs and is very limited on volume for outdoor use. It sounds fine for casual use in a small room or for just background music. I bought it because it is one of the few that can stream Wi-Fi music. Outdoors I just use it as a remote to control my whole house system driven by Alexa.

I REALLY want to love this speaker. The sound is fantastic. The only issue I have with it, and it's bad enough to cost 2 stars, is that it CONSTANTLY loses connection to my network. This pretty consistently requires a power cycle of the speaker to get it back on-line. No other electronics in my office have this issue. It's a real shame, without these frustrations, the speaker would be simply excellent.

Everything I wanted in a portable speaker, wifi, good sound, easy set up, smart home. Then it dies 10 days in.

Great little speaker, way better quality than Bose for a better price. I love that it can play over Wi-Fi instead of Bluetooth. I am hoping to get the full surround sound system for my home with Sonia after trying this out

I love this. I regret not buying it sooner. Perfect portable speaker works great in the bathroom when I shower and all over the house where I have not filled it with Sonos. Also love that it has Alexa built in and wireless charges on my qi charger.

Excellent sound. Great portability. Perfect for sitting in the backyard or taking tunes on vacation. Only issue is difficulty switching WiFi networks... when we bring it outside, which is only covered by our extender, it loses the signal and we have to reconnect (or switch to Bluetooth). Not a big deal, but a first world problem if I ever heard one... Also, the charging stand is expensive, but that's sold separately, so not entirely relevant here.

This was a replacement for a bad Sonos Roam. I had no issues purchasing the same. They have a wonderful, full sound for such a small form factor. It can be hidden easily behind furniture or cabinets which is important to some.

A little annoying to connect but once it does it works perfectly and sounds amazing.

What more can be said about Sonos products. This is my 4th piece and I can’t wait to take to the beach. The sound is loud, the bass booms. It is a compact giant. Better than some others I’ve had in this size.

Another great Sonos product! The quality of sound that comes out of such a small package is very impressive! I’ve used them in combination with my Sonos sound bar and independently. Either way, they do not disappoint!

I like Sonos products very much, and this speaker is a welcome addition. It has great features and is super portable. My only complaint is that it wasn't loud enough for my space outside. I wanted a speaker that would fill my backyard, so I opted for the Sonos Move instead. For what this speaker is (ultra portable, excellent sound, good battery life) I think it is a great buy that fits seamlessly in with a Sonos home system or on its own.

Is it worth almost $200? Probably not. Sonos is certainly a premium price but since I already owned other Sonos products, I wanted to stay with products within the brand so I won’t have multiple apps for different brands. Other brands probably offer more bass for music. But for me, I wanted something small for my Zoom calls and watching movies on my laptop. Something that didn’t take up too much space on my table. Not only is the voice clear, but I can hear everything in the movie. From ambient sounds, crashes, etc. I read somewhere that Sonos wasn’t built for things other than music, but this product pairs well with my laptop and can watch Netflix and other apps.

Great portable Sonos speaker-excellent sound quality and easy to set up and use

I’ve had this for a few weeks now, not very happy with the connectivity, it random drops the connection (bluetooth & wi-fi) every other time I use it. It sometimes drops bluetooth connection when my phone is sitting less than a foot away from the speaker. Other than connectivty issues, this speaker sounds great for it’s size.

Only have this on hand one day. The sound quality is pretty good based on its portable size. Easy to group and set up a pair of stereo mode with two roams. Would definitely recommend this Sonos Roam. It is pity that it cannot have Stereo Mode when connecting with Bluetooth. Not cheap by the way, and especially get two.

When it worked, it worked great! Great full sound and great Bluetooth range. After about a month, it would no longer charge or turn on. I tried several different charging blocks and outlets. Tried all of the different resets I could find and still nothing. Pretty expensive for a 1 month use speaker.
